What Texian is saying about the ten lost tribes is mostly a LIE.
1 Kings 12 and 2 Chron.10:17 reveal some remnants of the northern ten tribes were already... living in cities in Judea in the south when God first split Israel into two separate kingdoms.
The 2 Chronicles Scripture that Texian quotes about some of the northern tribes going down to Jerusalem later after the split is about Hezekiah's invite to the northern ten tribes to come to Jerusalem to observe the passover (2 Chron.30:1). And we see at 2 Chron.15:17 that the "high places" in northern Israel were still not taken away then, though some of the people of the northern tribes sought to turn back to worship at Jerusalem.
It did not mean the ten tribes of the northern kingdom was joined with the three tribed house of Judah at Jerusalem. Lot of Bible history of events of their continued separation remains after all that.
By the time one gets to 2 Kings 18, and Hezekiah's days in 2 Chronicles, it becomes silent about kings of Israel over the ten tribed northern kingdom. Why? Because they were gone, with the ten tribes removed to the lands of Assyria (2 Kings 17), while Judah, Benjamin, and Levi (with small remnants of ten tribes) still remained in Judea/Jerusalem, only to be taken captive to Babylon around 120 years later.
The Jewish historian Josephus who lived in 100 A.D., said this about that continued separation of two tribes apart from the larger group of ten tribes...
"And when these Jews had understood what piety the king had towards God, and what kindness he had for Esdras, they were all greatly pleased; nay, many of them took their effects with them, and came to Babylon, as very desirous of going down to Jerusalem; but then the entire body of the people of Israel remained in that country; wherefore there are but two tribes in Asia and Europe subject to the Romans, while the ten tribes are beyond Euphrates till now, and are an immense multitude, and not to be estimated by numbers." (Josephus, Antiquites of the Jews; Book XI, Ch.5)
In case some did not notice, Josephus lived in 100 A.D., that means AFTER Christ's first coming and crucifixion.
Texian's idea that the ten tribes were joined back with Judah some 400-500 years prior to Christ's first coming is a flat out LIE. NOTHING is written in God's Word of the ten tribes returning to Jerusalem with Judah after the Babylon captivity. The above quote from Josephus is specifically about the days of Ezra the scribe (Esdras) and the return of a small remnant of the house of Judah back to Jerusalem after the 70 years Babylon captivity. It was recorded in the Book of Ezra just what tribes returned, and even how many...
Ezra 1:2-5
2 Thus saith Cyrus king of Persia, The LORD God of heaven hath given me all the kingdoms of the earth; and he hath charged me to build him an house at Jerusalem, which is in Judah.
3 Who is there among you of all his people? his God be with him, and let him go up to Jerusalem, which is in Judah, and build the house of the LORD God of Israel, (he is the God,) which is in Jerusalem.
4 And whosoever remaineth in any place where he sojourneth, let the men of his place help him with silver, and with gold, and with goods, and with beasts, beside the freewill offering for the house of God that is in Jerusalem.
5 Then rose up the chief of the fathers of Judah and Benjamin, and the priests, and the Levites, with all them whose spirit God had raised, to go up to build the house of the LORD which is in Jerusalem.
(KJV)
Do you see there ANY of the OTHER TRIBES OF ISRAEL BEING MENTIONED in that return after the 70 years Babylon captivity? NO!
Wait a minute, Ezra gave more detail of who all that was...

58 All the Nethinims, and the children of Solomon's servants, were three hundred ninety and two.
59 And these were they which went up from Telmelah, Telharsa, Cherub, Addan, and Immer: but they could not shew their father's house, and their seed, whether they were of Israel:
60 The children of Delaiah, the children of Tobiah, the children of Nekoda, six hundred fifty and two.

70 So the priests, and the Levites, and some of the people, and the singers, and the porters, and the Nethinims, dwelt in their cities, and all Israel in their cities.

That's ALL that returned to Jerusalem. Now anyone who has read their Bible history well knows that even the house of Judah (Judah, Benjamin, and Levi) made up a WHOLE LOT MORE PEOPLE than that mere 42,360 that returned!!
Even when Solomon's son Rehoboam of Judah joined only 'men' for battle to try and bring the ten northern tribes of Israel back in union to him at Jerusalem, he had prepared 180,000 warriors per 1 Kings 12:21. So what happened??
Not only that, but ALL the peoples above in that list under bold green were FOREIGNERS!!!
That's right, those Nethinims, children of those priests, and servants of Solomon WERE ALL FOREIGNERS of non-Israelite heritage. They could not find their genealogy in Israel as written there!
So SUBTRACT all those peoples under the bold green part of the list, and it reveals the remant of TRUE ISRAELITES of the three tribes of Judah, Benjamin, and Levi WAS VERY, VERY SMALL INDEED!!! Even a lot LESS than that 42,360 number!
WHAT HAPPENED???
The only tribes of Israel that even went... captive to Babylon were the tribes of Judah, Benjamin, and Levi, as written there in Ezra 1 & 2. Those three tribes at Judea/Jerusalem were called the "house of Judah" in God's Word, after God split Israel into two separate kingdoms. The ten tribes were NOT EVEN around when Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came upon Jerusalem and took the "house of Judah" captive to Babylon. Then ten tribes had already been taken captive to the lands of Assyria and the Medes prior to Judah's captivity to Babylon. THAT is why the ten tribes did NOT even go captive to Babylon with Judah! They were not in the land anymore.
After the 70 years Babylon captivity, the largest portion of the "house of Judah" chose to REMAIN in Babylon. That's why only this very small remnant in Ezra 1 & 2 of Judah, Benjamin, and Levi returned to Jerusalem, with the LARGEST portion returning with them being foreigners that had crept in among Judah long ago.
In Ezra 8 we even find Ezra having to send back to get Levite priests, for none of them were even in the initial group that returned!
Ezra 8:15-20
15 And I gathered them together to the river that runneth to Ahava; and there abode we in tents three days: and I viewed the people, and the priests, and found there none of the sons of Levi.
16 Then sent I for Eliezer, for Ariel, for Shemaiah, and for Elnathan, and for Jarib, and for Elnathan, and for Nathan, and for Zechariah, and for Meshullam, chief men; also for Joiarib, and for Elnathan, men of understanding.
17 And I sent them with commandment unto Iddo the chief at the place Casiphia, and I told them what they should say unto Iddo, and to his brethren the Nethinims, at the place Casiphia, that they should bring unto us ministers for the house of our God.
18 And by the good hand of our God upon us they brought us a man of understanding, of the sons of Mahli, the son of Levi, the son of Israel; and Sherebiah, with his sons and his brethren, eighteen;
19 And Hashabiah, and with him Jeshaiah of the sons of Merari, his brethren and their sons, twenty;
20 Also of the Nethinims, whom David and the princes had appointed for the service of the Levites, two hundred and twenty Nethinims: all of them were expressed by name.
(KJV)
And with that event of Ezra sending the head Nethinim (given to temple service), to fetch sons of Levi, what does that Nethinim do? He brings MORE of his Nethinim foreigner brethren back with him to Jerusalem!!! (The Nethinims were foreign temple servants, bondservants that worked their way up to do Levitical priest duties in the temple. They began creeping in during David's days, when David made pacts with those of the nations like Hiram to trade for workers. Solomon's servants were foreigners left of the Canaanite nations which Israel was not able to destroy per God's command -1 Kings 9:20-22).
I tell you brethren; Satan's servants here on earth strongly want to HIDE THIS HISTORY! It takes real patience in God's Word to come to understand this, but it is WHY God put those genealogies in His Word, and spread these specifics throughout His Holy Writ. Skipping OT Book study is how Christian brethren miss these kinds of Bible histories, and pointers to how the "house of Judah" and the "house of Israel" fell into idol corruptions with foreigners that crept in among them from the Canaanite peoples who sought to turn Israel away from worship of The One True LORD GOD. THOSE are a lot of the reason why the children of Israel had so much trouble with falling away from God in those times! This is why God would say the following in final about those false ones that crept in among His people after Christ's return...
Zech 14:16-21
16 And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles.
17 And it shall be, that whoso will not come up of all the families of the earth unto Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, even upon them shall be no rain.
18 And if the family of Egypt go not up, and come not, that have no rain; there shall be the plague, wherewith the LORD will smite the heathen that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.
19 This shall be the punishment of Egypt, and the punishment of all nations that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.
20 In that day shall there be upon the bells of the horses, HOLINESS UNTO THE LORD; and the pots in the LORD's house shall be like the bowls before the altar.
21 Yea, every pot in Jerusalem and in Judah shall be holiness unto the LORD of hosts: and all they that sacrifice shall come and take of them, and seethe therein: and in that day there shall be no more the Canaanite in the house of the LORD of hosts.
