It was 3:30 in the morning and I know it's early but I wanted to go for a walk outside. I live in the city next to the wooded areas. There are coyotes and other animals that roam during these hours.

Anyways, I went to walk outside and in the air was this predator warning spirit. It was like a mountain lion was near or something. That's the feeling I got. And it was mixed with a type of evil criminal predator message.

Anybody else get this type of warning from the spirit?

Yes Devin! Happened about 14 years ago. I was living in the country and we have many wild animals here. When I got home from work, I would take my dog for long walks right up into the hills. This was when it was starting to turn darker as it was in the fall. We were doing our thing when suddenly everything became quiet. Now, my boy was not on a leash and I could tell he too sensed something, or caught a scent but, I put that leash on him and skedaddled out of there. From there on we pretty much stuck to the 9 acre yard ant other paths. He could always feel the warnings also on his own as, he sometimes hesitated by the tree line, wanting to go past it but he just would run to where ever I was. That was quite unnerving. Glad your okay!

I've ran into Coyotes on my walks so I listen to the warning spirit. I went out at 4:30am and the warning was gone.

Yes sounds like you're in the woods there. Glad you're OK. People back in the day probably were guided by the spirit also. Being delivered from this and that, and without doctors help for illnesses. It always amazes me that people in the bible lived to be in the 100's.

When I was homeless I would get that spiritual warning feeling all the time at night. I would sleep in fenced areas only.

Oh yes, we had too many coyotes, we thought they were planting them there because of the deer population and so many getting hit. Me and my dog used to pass by partial carcasses and someone said they were called "warm kills" which meant, the animal (most likely coyotes) was near by and had every intention of coming back for the rest so, again...we went to the other side of the yard away from the tree line. Skunks, opossum, fox, our pond was HUGE and had HUGE snapping turtles in there...they are nasty! And every winter, a white owl could be seen allot on an old corn crib in back. I so miss living there.

I grew up on an Indian reservation so I enjoyed the woods as a child. Sounds like you got to enjoy that also. It was great peace and happiness for me. Now I live in the city near wooded areas. When I go for walks I tend to walk near the woods for peace of soul. I don't like the city really. But it comes in handy so I shouldn't complain :)

Oh Devin, I HATE the city, noises all the time...hard enough to concentrate. I've been in the market but, all the houses are going for like two to three times their worth...which would mean mine would too but, not willing to purchase a house with that is worth much less. I don't think God would be pleased as it IS His money. But, still I hope and pray for a nice small piece of land...we don't know when the real persecution will come so, would be nice to have some land around for trailers and such for folks (Christians) to have a place to live and to gather in His name, amen!!!

What did you do? Did you continue walking or head back?

I felt this sort of danger so I went back inside. It was 3:30am. When I went to check at 4:30am it was gone so then I went for a walk.

I live in the woods, surrounded by national forest. When I get that feeling I look up in the trees. Mountain Lions.
Wow, didn't know mountain lions climbed in trees. Thanks for the info!

Yes I've always lived in big cities and there are no woods or anything nearby to walk in more's the pity.
The Indian tribes knew how to live in harmony with nature-

"Every part of this earth is sacred to my people.
Every shining pine needle, every sandy shore, every mist in the dark woods, every clearing and humming insect is holy in the memory and experience of my people.
The sap which courses through the trees carries the memories of the red man.
We are part of the earth and it is part of us.
The perfumed flowers are our sisters; the deer, the horse, the great eagle, these are our brothers.
The rocky crests, the juices in the meadows, the body heat of the pony, and man, all belong to the same family.
The rivers are our brothers, they quench our thirst. The rivers carry our canoes.
The sight of your cities pains the eyes of the red man.
There is no quiet place in the white man's cities. No place to hear the unfurling of leaves in spring or the rustle of the insect's wings.
The clatter only seems to insult the ears."- Chief Seattle of the Suquamis

I went to a Tribal ceremony as a child. They have some traditions that are interesting. I try to see God in it, and when I can't then I steer clear. But living in the USA with our background in freedom of religion I have to give them theirs. We are all free as long as we don't infringe on others freedoms doing it:)

I did a sweat hut ceremony when I was younger. It was super hot.

We also live in the woods. Coyotes, wild hogs, snakes, bob cats, possums, armadillos, raccoons, rabbits, squirrels...usual things. We spend a lot of time outside day and night, so always on the lookout.

Our dog is a pit, yet when the coyotes start howling, he mimic’s them, weird. Do also from time to time, have an eerie notice, dog too.

My brother has over the years spent time on different Indian Reservations, participated in their ceremonies. He has shared some pretty interesting stories and recipes.

@devin553344 - Also my brother is a naturalist craftsman, has his own Indian style sweat lodge, but so far has made four ceremonial drums, for two tribes, crafted all natural materials, particular feathers, Hyde’s, and I think the “paints” from berries/ashes? Very ornate, pretty.

Right now the Tribe is selling fireworks for the 4th of July. They also sell Indian fry bread which is pretty delicious. My mother and I think she said brother went to a Indian feast and got food poisoning. So they didn't have a good time afterwards. But I never did that.

We grew up fishing and catching crab. The Indians here fish and crab and catch shrimp and sell it.

@Taken the Tribe here now has a few Casinos that they run. So that's their main source of income. But it hasn't always been that way.
