LOL How do you expect me to confirm prayers in unknown tongues. Video.
Here is an explaination.....

Understanding Prayers in Unknown Tongues

In the Bible, “praying in an unknown tongue” means speaking in a language you do not know, often as a spiritual gift, with the Spirit’s involvement, but it is meant to be interpreted for the edification of the church.

Biblical Context

The New Testament describes this gift in passages such as 1 Corinthians 14:4–17 and 1 Corinthians 14:14, where Paul writes that when someone prays in tongues, “my spirit prays, but my mind is unfruitful” unless the words are interpreted. In 1 Corinthians 14:2, Paul notes that speaking in tongues is “not to men but to God” and involves “mysteries in the Spirit”
In Acts 2:4–11, the first recorded use of tongues occurred at Pentecost, when the apostles spoke in languages the listeners understood, enabling the gospel to be proclaimed. In the Corinthian context, tongues were a real language gift, not just “wordless groans,” and were to be interpreted so the congregation could be edified.

Purpose and Use

  • Personal prayer: Tongues can be a way of praying directly to God, deepening personal communion.
  • Corporate worship: In church settings, tongues should be accompanied by interpretation so others can understand and be built up
  • Spiritual edification: Paul contrasts tongues with prophecy, saying prophecy edifies the church more unless tongues are interpreted.

Practical Guidance

  • Seek interpretation: 1 Corinthians 14:13 says, “Let him that speaketh in an unknown tongue pray that he may interpret”
  • Balance with understanding: Paul encourages praying “with the spirit and with the understanding also” (1 Corinthians 14:15)
  • Discernment: The gift should be used in love, for the building up of the body of Christ, and in accordance with Scripture.

Summary

Praying in an unknown tongue is a spiritual experience where the believer communicates with God in a language they do not know, often as a gift of the Holy Spirit. While it can be deeply personal, the Bible emphasizes that in the church, it should be interpreted so that all can understand and be edified'

I am not saying everyone believes in tongues.
What I proved is scriptures about the reality of tongues.
You can believe the scriptures or not. Not much of a debate.
Scriptures do not say that tongues are not real.

Tongues today are not the tongues understood by others/anyone in the NT
Tongues today are simple JIBBER JABBER that no human today understands

That is an opinion, nothing in the scriptures say that tongues will stop.

Acts 2:1-6 1 When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
I believe, as others do, that the place Jesus told his newly born again disciples to go and wait for the POWER gift from the Holy Spirit was the 'house of God' or the TEMPLE in Jerusalem. And I believe they were all 120 gathered at Solomon's Portico.
2 And suddenly there came a sound/echos from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind/pnoe, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting.
Read the below Strong's Greek definitions and then apply that understanding to the verse above.
"sound" = 2279 echos: a loud or confused noise, i.e. roar; fig. a rumor
"wind" = 4157 pnoe: respiration, a breeze

So, does 'wind' meet the echos definition of the "sound" that was first HEARD...."a loud confused noise"? I personally don't believe it does. We all know what 'wind' sounds like.

3 Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and [one] sat upon each of them. 4 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
I think the divided tongue of fire on their heads represented the two tongues each of the 120 born again disciples of Jesus spoke. The first tongue was the heavenly one from their own holy born again spirits. And it was them speaking in those prayer languages (that "no man understands", because they aren't earthly languages). But they certainly did fit the definition of "echos"/"a loud confused noise" in verse 2.

5 And there were dwelling in Jerusalem Jews, devout men, from every nation under heaven. 6 And when this sound/phone occurred, the multitude came together, and were confused, because everyone heard them speak in his own language.
In verse 6, we have to deal with the "sound" that was heard in the whole temple. And it was all coming from Solomon's Portico and those 120 tongue talking and (gibberish sounding) charismatic Christians.

5456 phone: a tone (articulate, bestial or artificial); by impl. an address (for any purpose), saying or language

Those Jews who were so MENTAL and not SPIRITUAL, thought they sounded like they were DRUNK....or might they have even said "BABBLING". :hmhehm

In this context, "tongues" refers to languages. According to Strong's Greek dictionary (entry #1100), the word glossa implies a language, specifically one that the speaker did not naturally acquire.
Yes, and AMEN. But the second "tongue" language those 120 spoke were not the inspired prayer language from their spirits. It was the charisma gift from The Holy Spirit being manifested through their born again holy spirits and inspired to speak the languages/dialects of every nation represented there that day. Languages only some understood. Those who were still unsaved Jews.
When the Holy Spirit descended upon the apostles and everyone present, the individuals themselves were not the originators of the speech. Instead, the Holy Spirit spoke through them.
Not sure I agree here. When you say "everyone present", just exactly who are you thinking of? @Sel@h

Can you remember and understand what you said ?
Where others in the room ALSO able to UNDERSTAND what you said ?
the minister of my church has spoken fluent Korean and a pastor;s wife near where I grew up delivered a thrilling meesage in tongues in fluent Swahili. The message alerted her that her daughter whose life was in danger in a violent part of Africa is now safe and would be home soon. At 16, I spoke only Engish. A sseptical Lutheran minister saw the mighty anointing on me, adding that he didn't believe in tongues. So I just touched him gently on the forehead and he exploded in other tongues. In both cases, the tongues were private prayer after a service; so no interpretation was needed or expected. Only messages in tongues, not prayer tongues, need interpretation.

Am I going to take a man's teaching over scripture? Stick with the scriptures. Unless you can find a scripture that says don't stick with the scriptures.
So you watched it all ?
What part of it would you like to discuss, give me the time stamp please
