We all have different needs. God has seemingly chosen to keep me weak and afflicted in various ways, but I see the wisdom in that, in keeping me on the more narrow way.

Much love!

@Mantis

Perfect-ed IN Christ is one thing.

Everyone has their own individual issues, regardless of wealth, status, gender, age....typically mulling around on the Inside....

BECAUSE...we do Not know all things...and we are Not perfect.

And the thing is, Everyone tries to function in this world, with their own Internal issues sometimes pounding like a hammer that has just not been able to be resolved....YET.

I like your attitude marks...I also see the wisdom in that, as you say, Spiritually speaking. The human side of me laughs. I have several siblings, Bitter, growing up we were so poor. But then one sibling and I reminisce and laugh at the going without necessities, scrounging and making do and being happy during those days. Aches, pains, diseases...
Can be our whole life, or we can find joy everyday.

Glory to God,

He restores our souls
Do you mean like in the latter end of Jobs life? When looking up restoring the soul …”soul” is some times “life”
“He restores my life” ?

Psalm 23:3 Lexicon: He restores my soul; He guides me in the paths of righteousness For His name's sake.

He doesn’t restore your Body’s LIFE....which is BLOOD.
He doesn’t restore your Natural spirit, “which is your natural truth in your natural heart”....born of a mans seed.
He gives you a new heart, you a new spirit, born from His Seed,
And His Spirit dwells in and with your new spirit.

The living soul, is basically the LIFE of your “senses”...
Ears created....and then made, ie given soul life...Ears hear
Eyes created...and then made, ie given soul life...Eyes see
Nose created...and then made, ie given soul life...Nose smells.
Tongue/mouth created...and then made, ie given soul life...Tastes, Speaks.

Adam was created (form-ed) and then made, ie given soul life.

Gen 2:
[3] And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.

What about His body which He describes as many members but One body; some the ear, some the eyes, some the feet…all under the Head.

I think I agree if I understood you correctly. But when does “I will put a new spirit in you” happen …considering God has not given us the spirit of fear unto bondage again but the spirit of power, of love, and of a sound mind.

What a good description of my life!

LOL!

Much love!

Oh, oh, oh, ouchie ... Headaches....awful. I have had 3. Two I passed out, woke up once in hospital, once in nurse station, and once took an icy cold shower and laid still in bed, hurt to blink. All from over-heating internal core, not sweating. Pace myself in heat. I use to make peppermint oils for my sister, who would get tension headaches.
...Something not right. So sorry.

Applies to the Converted, “Christ’s Church”.

Conversion...crucified with Jesus
or at your physical death, if not converted, but Believe.

is the image of the earthly, to have borne chastisement? Or is the image of the heavenly, to have borne chastisement? Or has He borne our chastisement, that we might bear His image?

Hi Victory,

This came to mind after reading your post:

For whenever anyone bears the pain of unjust suffering because of consciousness of God, that is a grace.

But what credit is there if you are patient when beaten for doing wrong? But if you are patient when you suffer for doing what is good, this is a grace before God.

For to this you have been called, because Christ also suffered 10 for you, leaving you an example that you should follow in his footsteps

so the LORD blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning makes me think of
Ecclesiastes (restoring what was loss?)7:1-2 A good name is better than precious ointment; and the day of death than the day of one's birth. [2] It is better to go to the house of mourning, than to go to the house of feasting: for that is the end of all men; and the living will lay it to his heart.

“and the day of death than the day of one's birth” yet also Romans 5:10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.

I really don’t know what that has to do with what you posted, but somehow it does help me in considering “much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.” In regards to “what was accomplished in the man, Jesus?” To be clear though, I don’t think that means how much more shall we be saved by the taking of his life, but by the giving of his life that there is fruit. (Just an opinion) by the continuance …of His Life?
I don't have all of the answers, sister... Fortunately, God does. When we truly need answers will He not provide them?

thank you for sharing what came to your mind. I had never read this version and I liked it. Especially: But what credit is there if you are patient when beaten for doing wrong?
…it makes me consider how often do I not do wrong. Can I trust that I can tell the difference? It’s weird because I can look back at times in my life where at the time I thought I was doing right but now looking back…I was wrong. And there is suffering that came from doing wrong. Like how I raised my kids, what I promoted as valuable. To the point that I see those things planted continuing in my grandchildren. So many choices I made where I can relate now to where Paul asked: what fruit did you have in those things you are now ashamed of? Point is you shared if you are beaten for wrong doing and patiently take it…that does make me wonder because of all the wrong every day …I patiently wait because of coming to the realization that only God can restore out from all the wrong bringing something better out from it. Like the verse where He works all things together for the good. are we hopeless in the wrongs that we have clearly done unto others, those things we are now ashamed of? I think of Paul giving the command to stone Stephen…yet what hope did he have?

For has anyone said to God, I have borne [chastisement] I will not offend [anymore]? job 43:31

And as we have borne the image of the earthly, we shall bear also the image of the heavenly. 1 Corinthians 15:49

For he grew up before Him like a tender shoot, and like a root out of parched ground; He has no [stately] form or majesty that we should be attracted to Him. He was despised and forsaken of men. A man of sorrows and acquainted with grief, And like one from whom men hide their faces He was despised, And we did not esteem Him. Surely our griefs He Himself bore, And our sorrows He carried; yet we ourselves esteemed Him stricken, smitten of God and afflicted. But He was pierced through for our transgression, He was crushed for our inquities ; The chastening of our well being [fell]upon Him, And by His scourging we are healed.

what is: to have borne chastisement? When His word says; as you have borne the image of earthly, you shall also bear the image of heavenly…

is the image of the earthly, to have borne chastisement? Or is the image of the heavenly, to have borne chastisement? Or has He borne our chastisement, that we might bear His image?
Hi VIJ,
My take is that Jesus bore our chastisement for the punishment of our sin, we still get chastised when we do wrong. God loves those He chastises! :)

I believe Elihu was saying, when God chastises/corrects, does a man then say, You are right and I spoke wrongly about You and I will offend no more? Or does he keep doing or saying the thing God tried to correct him on?

When God corrects, the result should be agreement, the renewing of the mind, changing the way you’ve been thinking about something to the way God thinks about something.

Recognizing that God works all things for the good of those that love Him, certainly makes it easier to bear (unjust?) suffering for the sake of others imo..

everything you shared, but especially “does a man say, You are right and I spoke wrongly about you and I will offend no more” and “When God corrects, the result should be agreement, the renewing of the mind, changing the way you’ve been thinking about something to the way God thinks about something.” Makes me think of
Romans 7:13 Was then that which is good made death unto me? God forbid. But sin, that it might appear sin, working death in me by that which is good; that sin by the commandment might become exceeding sinful.

Romans 7:16 If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good.
