You know, I just tried something I forgot about that worked in the past - I turned the tv volume off from its full volume loud and sat in front of the window and every time there was a loud pop, I said, oh, that was a goood one! The dog came to the window for a long time with me and eventually I stopped saying anything and then when there was a loud pop she started looking back at me to say the magic words to assure her. Now she’s running around with her toy not bothered in the least!

I did that with my other dog when he was a puppy and there was a thunderstorm. I’d take him on the porch in my lap and say it and give him rubs every time there was a loud crack. Can’t believe I forgot it…

I don't believe JW's "run" this forum, but they love to be here to undermine Bible doctrines. There was a Muslim here sometime ago, promoting Islam and undermining Christianity. I guess he got fed up of getting nowhere. We also have a lot of heterodox people around here with strange and bizarre doctrines.

Christianity Board has gone through various phases, and there have been a number of different factions who have vied for "control" in the past: Calvinists, Catholics, SDAs, Gnostics, JWs, and probably others; that's just what I've seen in the 4+ years I've been here. But no one group ever "controls" the site even if they appear to be in the majority for a time. It ebbs and flows as time progresses along. It will eventually be something else tomorrow.

My experience on other "Christian" websites, is that sooner or later, if you don't believe what the management believes, you are not tolerated. It's been a real blessing for me to be able to speak my mind here.

I'm just trying to understand. When I ask JW's Biblical questions they disappear or start challenging our English Bibles. I am careful. Are you defending JW's?

JW's are Christian but have a different idea about Jesus. The mods allow it probably to fellowship with real Christians.

It’s not ran by JW. That comment was made by a person new to the forum and was surprised by the fact that there are multiple JW persons on here because one of the first threads he went to was a “is Jesus the Son of God” one.

I don't think people hate them personally it's just what their organisation stand for. They are not Church and do not call themselves church either.
