Matthew 5:19

Jesus had said :

Therefore anyone who sets aside one of the least of these commands and teaches others accordingly will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

Are there different levels (place/orders) of the Kingdom of Heaven?

Or will everyone be on the same level (place/order)?

How can we part of the Kingdom of Heaven?

Are there still requirements?

That's an interesting question, I'm looking forward to hearing other answers.

Daniel 12:2-3 KJV
2) And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.
3) And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.

1 Corinthians 15:40-41 KJV
40) There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another.
41) There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differeth from another star in glory.

I think the redeemed will show varied degrees of glory based on how faithful we have been to our calling.

Luke 19:16-19 KJV
16) Then came the first, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained ten pounds.
17) And he said unto him, Well, thou good servant: because thou hast been faithful in a very little, have thou authority over ten cities.
18) And the second came, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained five pounds.
19) And he said likewise to him, Be thou also over five cities.

I think that the redeemed will be given service in accordance with their faithfulness in this world.

Much love!

Thank you for your shared answers,

Here is another one:

Matthew 7:21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter.

What is the will of the Father? - is it doing things as in the context above or below.

~~~
John 6:
28 Then they asked him, “What must we do to do the works God requires?”
29 Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.”
To believe in the one he has sent - would mean not to give up believing, to constantly have faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, and this is the work of God.
Or to relax as the Gk implies. For the time being his disciples were committed to every particle of the law – yet more so to it’s higher moral calling.
Matthew 11:11 “I tell you the truth, among those born of women, no one has arisen greater than John the Baptist. Yet the one who is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he is.
Matthew 18:4 Whoever then humbles himself like this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven
Matthew 5:20 for context!
”In no case enter” meaning, more or less care over the ‘least command’ made the difference of ‘least’ or ‘great’, but to annul the commandment will mean exclusion from the Kingdom of Heaven on earth Matthew 5:5 (not yet fulfilled).
Thank you to all who have decided to comment on this subject of are there different orders/placements in the kingdom of Heaven?
Another thing that just popped up within me is,
There are children of God,
Then there are sons and daughters of God.
There is a regular resurrection,
And there is an outer resurrection better than the normal one given.
If anyone else would like to comment or share please feel free to do so, not here to condemn or to look down on anyone and all are welcome to share.
That's what I get from Jesus' teachings (that people will have different positions in the kingdom). It seems pretty clear to me that he stated that there will be rewards in heaven and different kinds of "levels" if you will (I don't feel that anyone will be like "disappointed" with what they get; no kind of sinful sentiment is present in God's dwelling place. It will be just right for everyone there).
The requirement is that we trust in Jesus. Yet, it is still him alone that saves not our trust in him. This is how I believe infants/young children and mentally handicapped people are saved (since they don't have the mental capacity to put their trust in him).
While I actually believe that Jesus will give greater reward to those who have done more with respect to what they were given in this life (to whom much is given, much is expected), and especially to those who remained faithful unto death despite horrible persecution and suffering, I have a contrarian streak, so I will cite the Parable of the Workers in the Vinyard (Matthew 20:1-16):
8 “Now when evening came, the owner of the vineyard *said to his foreman, ‘Call the laborers and pay them their wages, starting with the last group to the first.’ 9 When those hired about the eleventh hour came, each one received a denarius. 10 And so when those hired first came, they thought that they would receive more; but each of them also received a denarius. 11 When they received it, they grumbled at the landowner, 12 saying, ‘These who were hired last worked only one hour, and you have made them equal to us who have borne the burden of the day’s work and the scorching heat.’13 But he answered and said to one of them, ‘Friend, I am doing you no wrong; did you not agree with me for a denarius? 14 Take what is yours and go; but I want to give to this last person the same as to you. 15 Is it not lawful for me to do what I want with what is my own? Or is your eye envious because I am generous?’ 16 So the last shall be first, and the first, last.”
This why I believe in the universal atonement of Christ on the cross paying for all sins once on the cross.
Thank God for Him! And praise be to them both! God is a fair, just, and righteous God and can take in the ability of the dispositioned and they desperately need love given to them by other people even through difficulties.
Thank you for sharing, Dhh.
@dhh712 Recently I heard a sermon about the different crowns in the New Testament for the believer: crown of glory, crown of righteousness, etc. Very interesting.
All Christians have requirements Matt.
We can discern from the account recorded for us in the book of Job that there are positions in heaven. The account reads: (Job 1:6) 6 Now the day came when the sons of the true God entered to take their station before Jehovah, and Satan also entered among them.
All are invited to become Christians sir, but those who are called to go to heaven are selected, we cannot choose that.
Blue text is once again prophecy yet to be fulfilled.
Absolutely. Also the Kingdom of Heaven is the outward manifestation of the Kingdom of God.
The Kingdom of Heaven is the location from which it comes to earth! In reality its Christ who is bringing it with him!
Revelation 21:3 “Look! The residence of God is among human beings. He will live among them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them.
1 & 2.) I would say either you have a clear conscience or you don't - one level.
3 & 4.) We can be part of the Kingdom of heaven - today - by repenting of our sin, I believe (Matthew 4:17).
