Perfection does not corrupt the gospel of Jesus, but the devil's law of perfectionism in this life does.
By declaring any imperfect thought in the mind as committing sin with the devil, a law of perfectionism is made that condemns the good as being just as imperfect as the evil, and excuses the evil as being no worse than the good.
Once doing righteousness is called doing perfection, then all good and evil in this life is called unrighteous imperfection, and so no man in mortal flesh with unperfected mind can ever be righteous, which is to be righteously 'perfect'.
And since righteousness begins within a purified heart and cleansed mind, then having any imperfect thought appear in the mind is unrighteousness of the devil.
This is how OSAS can quote the Scripture pertaining to evil doers, that there is none righteous no not one, and none doeth good, and gladly apply it to themselves, because they are not righteous nor do good, since that would be perfectionism.
According to the law of perfectionism, No man can be righteous nor do good, because he is not yet perfected in mind and body.
