Hello Christians. I am new here and want to share my faith in Jesus.

My faith is once believing always believing. That's the only thing I can control. I believe it because I want to and choose to. I have learned free will for myself, and so I exercise it by choosing to believe I am saved, because I do believe Jesus is the Christ and my Savior.

I have tried works and religion and many prayers and spiritual experiences and teachings and witnessing to and from others, and in the end I reject any of it having to do with what I believe about being saved by Jesus Christ.

I have learned to never let anyone nor anything else stop me from believing Jesus is the Christ, and choosing to believe He has saved me forever. So long as I believe that, then nothing else in life matters to me, other than how we are affected by it. I care about what I do, but I don't care anymore about it having anything to do with me being saved by my faith alone which is always with me on purpose. I exercise my faith by choosing to believe it, and I have learned not to let anyone stop me from it. I do not let anyone or anything reach inside my mind and heart and change the one thing I always believe. Jesus is the Christ and He is my Savior.

Fix these words of mine in your hearts and minds; tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. (John 9.25)

And so, I don't try to do that with anyone else, including my own children. I am a completely live and let live saved Christian. I can be affected by things of others, and I try not to affect others badly, but what I believe cannot be touched by anyone or anything else on earth.

Neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 8.39)

My only Christian discipline that matters to me, is having learned to always remember and believe that Jesus is the Christ, I am born of Him, and I am forever saved by Him. No matter what else is going on, that is always what I believe all the time.

Fix these words of mine in your hearts and minds; tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. (Deut 11.18)

I read and learn alot about the Bible, because I want to, and I have plenty of things I believe about it, and enjoy sharing and know there will always be disagreement about certain things, but other than Jesus is the Christ, that is the only thing that matters to my faith and salvation by Him.

Since I have chosen to join this forum and participate in it, then I guess I might as well get it all out there, so anyone will know how I am and what I believe: Jesus is the Christ, and I am saved, and I choose to believe that all day long.

I have found this the be the simplest way to be a saved Christian.

But I am afraid that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent's cunning, your minds may somehow be led astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ. (2 Cor 11.3)

Welcome to the forum sir, great to meet you. Faith is not guaranteed, true most of us Christians continue growing, but even those born again ones of the first century slid back Heb 5:11-14. We must always be on guard against satans traps.

You've said the same thing I've been saying for years, but in a different, very compelling way: that we must choose to believe and keep believing everyday if we are to be saved. "Abide in the Vine" is how Jesus put it.

What ruffles the carnal feathers of "believers" is the truth that we can't "believe Jesus" unless we "know Jesus". Any thinking Christian knows believing and knowing are intrinsically tied (how can our belief in a thing exist without knowledge of the thing in which we believe?)

Therefore, since John says "Hereby we do know that we know Him if we keep His commandments" (1 John 2:3-4 KJV), their ruffled feathers are due to the unwelcome conclusion that their refusal to keep God's commandments proves they don't know Him, which proves they don't really believe in Him, which leaves them without the hope of salvation. But, as you've said, if we choose to believe - truly believe - and never allow anyone or ourselves to stop believing, the evidence for that steadfast belief will be seen in the life we live.

Not sure what point you're trying to make exactly, but you seem to be inferring that your belief is sufficient for your salvation. If that's the case, you're wrong and inconsistent with scripture. It takes more than simply belief and faith to be saved. If you believe and have faith, then you must follow through with your belief and be obedient to the gospel. Being saved requires belief and faith, confession of your belief, repentance, and baptism for the forgiveness of your sins.
