2 Thessalonians 2:1-4 1 Now, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, we ask you, 2 not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as if from us, as though the day of Christ had come. 3 Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, 4 who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.

In 2 Thessalonians 2:3, Paul warns Christians not to be misled, explaining that the day of Christ's return will not occur until there is first a great falling away and the "man of sin" is revealed. While the teaching of Jesus returning to gather His people is easy to understand, the distinct warning to "let no man deceive you" is often the most difficult part for people to grasp.

Paul's primary point is a plea for believers not to believe anyone who claims that the day of Christ is imminent or that He could return at any moment. Those who believe this risk being caught unprepared when the true Messiah returns. Remember, there will be a false messiah who will come first. We mustn’t be deceived because if we’re not careful, we’ll end up worshiping the Antichrist. (This is the great apostasy of the end times.)

Do you still find the pre-tribulation rapture theory appealing? If so, you are in a very dangerous position. This warning doesn't come from me; it comes from Paul, who cautions us to be on guard and watching out for the Antichrist. The Antichrist—Satan—will mirror exactly what you expect from Christ, using supernatural powers to deceive people, and he will arrive before the return of our Lord Jesus Christ.

We must not be decieved by those that say "where is the promise of his coming "?

Those preaching against the pretrib rapture model that Jesus laid out are shoving the bible off the table, and wanting us to listen to thier commentary.

Deceivers indeed.

The Bible ends with heaven and the bride calling on Jesus for the rapture.

True.

and the "man of sin" is revealed.

Ahhh. The question is, do you really understand who is the man of sin?

While the teaching of Jesus returning to gather His people is easy to understand, the distinct warning to "let no man deceive you" is often the most difficult part for people to grasp.

Exactly how will they be decevied with? Not only the pre-tribulation rapture, but also the false doctrine of as "false messiah", or a man with supernatural power, like you claimed? We shall see about that!

Remember, there will be a false messiah who will come first.

Oh you said, "remember"? Ok, since you failed to show me the verse where I have asked you a while ago, where in the Scripture that there will be a "false messiah"? Chapter and verse, please!

We mustn’t be deceived because if we’re not careful, we’ll end up worshiping the Antichrist.

LOL!!! You are being deceived by the premilennial doctrine that believer there will be world leader with supernatural power that the world will end up worship and receive his physical mark in order to buy food?

(This is the great apostasy of the end times.)

Oh, so the worship of a European Antichrist world leader is what you consider the great apostasy of the end times? Really? :Laughingoutloud:

Have you confused the worship of one supposed world leader with the great falling away from the faith within the unfaithful church itself?

The biblical warning is about more than some imagined future scenario involving a European dictator that spew out of your mouth. The falling away concerns apostasy from the faith, while false prophets, false christs, and those who operate in the spirit of antichrist deceive people from within the unfaithful church all over the church. This is where the abomination of desolation stands in the HOLY PLACE. Don't you realize that the church has been considered the holy place since the Cross?

The real question is: why are you fixated on a supposed Antichrist world leader while overlooking the biblical warnings about apostasy, deception, and the corruption within the church itself? Perhaps you should examine what Scripture actually says before insisting that your end-times interpretation is correct. Hmm?

Do you still find the pre-tribulation rapture theory appealing?

Of course not. It is a lie from the pit of hell. So is the premillennial doctrine.

If so, you are in a very dangerous position.

Actually, I am looking at you.

This warning doesn't come from me; it comes from Paul, who cautions us to be on guard and watching out for the Antichrist.

You do not testify Paul's warning honorable and you got the wrong idea about the antichrist.

Oh, but after all this time, your advise is akin to ‘My master is delaying his coming.’ :pensive: For although He said "soon" about all that "must shortly take place"--many reasons are given essentially saying the opposite...which, by definition, is Antichrist. Which John clarifies...are rather "many."

Better to consider the "many" who declare themselves to be responsible for their own salvation (as if "claiming to be God"), and all who are included in the saying "man of sin" (all "in Adam").

You are confusing the gathering from heaven and earth with occurs before the day of the Lord with the Lord Himself coming for His bride.

No. Paul is instructing the people of the that day, that thought that they were in the day of vengeance and that the day of the Lord was at hand.

Paul clarified that the day of the Lord............ARMAGEDDON...........would not happen until the man of sin is revealed.

He is saying that you have not missed the gathering from heaven and earth.

This has NOTHING WHATSOEVER to do with the rapture of the Church.

You are very confused. You do not understand the difference between the gathering from heaven and earth and the rapture of the Church.
The gathering from heaven and earth occurs at the 6th seal. The Lord will send His angels to gather the elect from heaven and earth.
At the rapture of the Church the Lord Himself comes for His bride.

Bottom line..........you are without understanding.

Hi, Sister Sel@h, how are you all? We are well; I have reread your post. And have been watching for things that our Great Shepherd has said.

Those decieved do not know they are decieved.
That is the sadness of deception.

Exactly! Therefore, explains why you do not know you are deceived. Deception usually begins with being brainwashed about something that is not true to begin with, that it is true instead of untrue.

You just proved you are clueless that rev 13 has no saint surviving the trib, but irregardless of the wording of rev 13, deception is your go to.

Indeed! And that is precisely why Scripture warns of the strong delusion associated with the great falling away (2 Thessalonians 2:3, 9–12).

But you are overlooking the prophetic order! Satan was bound so that he should deceive the nations no more until the appointed time (Revelation 20:1–3). Only after his release from the bottomless pit does he go forth to deceive the nations again (Revelation 20:7–8) with great deception.

This corresponds to the great apostasy, when false christs and false prophets arise to deceive, if possible, even the very elect (Matthew 24:24).

The issue is not merely whether someone is deceived, but WHEN Scripture places this great end-time deception in God's prophetic timetable!

So rather than accusing others of being brainwashed, perhaps you should first examine whether your own interpretation follows the prophetic order revealed in Scripture.

I'm not understanding why Pretribbers are liking this post? This post is implying that since Posttribbers have nothing to gain by being the deceivers, therefore, Posttribbers are not the deceivers Paul warned about in 2 Thessalonians 2:3, for instance. Therefore, if Posttribbers are not the deceivers, then who is? Keeping in mind we only have 2 options here--Posttribbers---Pretribbers.

I don't know why the Pretribber I was quoting brought up 2 Peter 3? I don't see that verse being applicable to Posttribbers nor Pretribbers.

And you continue to ignore Matthew 24:22 and even change who the elect are meaning in order for your doctrine of Pretrib to supposedly work.

That would explain why you don't know that you are deceived by the false pre-trib rapture theory.

Jesus explicitly taught a post-trib rapture. Listen to Jesus.

Mark 13:24 “But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun will be darkened and the moon will not give its light, 25 and the stars will be falling from heaven, and the powers that are in the heavens will be shaken. 26 And then they will see the Son of Man coming in clouds with great power and glory. 27 And then He will send forth the angels, and will gather together His elect from the four winds, from the end of the earth to the end of heaven.

You might like to consider your statements for the sake of self honesty. You will find the bible ends with the New Earth, not heaven.
There are other things but to keep it brief, this one will do.

Yes it does.
Never said it didn't
I will keep this brief as there are other things that you post that need attention.
You might consider asking what I believe instead of guessing and getting it wrong.

Let's not ignore it. or do what you do to it.
Here it is;
Mat 24
22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.

Yep thank you Jesus that you shorten those days.
Amen!
I agree!!!!
