Why is it that not a single Western leader has tried to stop the war in Ukraine and bring about a negotiated settlement by now? That is the first step in getting things back on track. Boris Johnson actually sabotaged a peace proposal early this year. But surely Poland or Hungary or the Czech Republic could have put together a peace proposal by now, and sat down with both Putin and Zelensky and hammered out something. NATO and the USA should simply be ignored at this point.
