Hi to all and ever since I can remember , in Sunday school , There has been a topic on How Saul was struck down by Jesus on the road to Damascus ,

There as I remember how , they made a big deal on the LIGHT that struck him down and an application on what the " pricks " signified .

And here is what they never have answered OR explained ;

#1 , How was SAUL saved ?

#2 , What Gospel did Jesus preach to Saul that saved him ??

#3 , Was it the preaching of Repentance and Baptism ?

#4 , Or was it a shift , by the preaching of Grace ?? 1 Tim 1:15-16 ?

#5 , I believe that the answers are found in 1 Cor 12:13 and in 1 Cor 12:3 !!!

Let's talk Bible ?? dan p

It's all there in Acts 9. Here's the nutshell version. Christ calls and commissions Paul on the road to Damascus, (vs. 4-6). Paul receives the Holy Spirit and is baptized, (vss. 17, 18). Paul spends some time with other disciples, possibly learning the Gospel, (vs. 19). Then he immediately begins to preach Jesus, (vs. 20, 22).

Hi , and here is how I see it as you have seen more than all the sites that I have posted this .

Saul in 1 Cor 12: 3 called Jesus Lord , and it is referenced in 1 Cor 12:3 that Saul could only do that by the Holy Spirit !!

So , the only conclusion is from that passage , Saul had to be saved and say Lord , by the Holy Spirit .

This means that Saul was saved in Acts 9:6 , as 1 Cor 12:13 says and was BAPTIZO/PLACED into the Body of Christ , per 1 Cor 12:13 .

Now it is INTERSETING that Saul was also Baptizo/Baptized with Holy Spirit in Acts 9::17 which is different Baptism .

In Acts 9:6 , he is Baptized , and becomes the first memeber in the Body o0f Christ as referenced i9n 1 Cor 12:13

Then in Acts 9:17 , Saul is Baptized with POWER of Holy Spirit , as the greek Article ( the ) is not used in verse 17 !!

This means that not only was SAUL saved by Grace , Saul was not Water Baptized and SAUL was the First member in the Body and is appointed an Apostle by Christ to ther Gentiles with a NEW MESSAGE , the Dispensation of the Grace of God , Eph 3::1-4 and Rom 16:25 , dan p

Jesus preached to him the same gospel, of reconciliation to God by Christ, and cleansing by his blood, and power to obey by the grace made available through faith!

The intent here is just too obvious! ;)

God has called all unto himself. Where they come from to get there is another story!

Hi , and for my clarification , did Grace of God begin with Saul ?

Or are you saying , that Grace has always been preached , since Genesis ?

Yes, since Genesis it has always been the same. In Christ, it is fulfilled.

[sup]5[/sup] Therefore He who supplies the Spirit to you and works miracles among you, does He do it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?— [sup]6[/sup] just as Abraham “believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.” [sup]7[/sup] Therefore know that only those who are of faith are sons of Abraham. [sup]8[/sup] And the Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel to Abraham beforehand, saying, “In you all the nations shall be blessed.” [sup]9[/sup] So then those who are of faith are blessed with believing Abraham. (Galatians 3)
