I ask again....Do you know why Elijah & Moses were chosen of all the OT faithful to encourage Jesus before his crucifixion? Mark 9

This question and its answer is precisely why this below thread is essential for the Christian to learn and follow.

I will send my messenger

Give it a go...I'll be very surprised if a correct answer can be gleaned - one thing is for sure the JW cannot answer it!

:I know:

Not a single mortal was resurrected to heaven before Jesus entered heaven. He was the first. John 3:13-- so it was symbolic for something.

Romans 11.

Then if you believe that you need to listen to Jesus words at John 17:3--This means eternal life, their taking in knowledge of you( Father) THE ONLY TRUE GOD and of the one whom you sent forth Christ Jesus.
2 points there --The Father is the only true God, and God did not come to earth he sent the one named Jesus as a mortal.

You're JW?

Jesus was The Word made flesh. God, in human form yet without sin.

Heaven going is nowhere taught in the Bible - full stop!
It's a figment of Christianity imagination - I have not idea where they got it from!
The meek will inherit the earth not heaven. Matthew 5:5
Enjoy

What book do JW's call the Bible?
2 Corinthians 5:8 Yes, we are of good courage, and we would rather be away from the body and at home with the Lord.

Phillipians3:20-21 But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body, by the power that enables him even to subject all things to himself.
+ John 14

Matthew 6
Luke 12
Hebrews 11
2 Peter 3

Revelation 21

Some but not all proofs Heaven is our home.:joyful:

If that is so then Jesus is just a doorway to the one and only Saviour God.

Isaiah 43:11
I, even I, am Jehovah; and besides me there is no saviour.

That's funny because you quoted a verse that states the origin of our citizenship and then you state we are waiting for the Lord to bring that to earth

Go figure!

Third time you avoided my questions - you know what that means dont you?

I know you're biblically illiterate.
I know you ignore the other verses to focus on the one that you don't understand because you don't read the whole chapter.

I've avoided nothing. You just don't like the answers that prove you wrong. Again.

You think Jesus was a mere man with a sin nature.
Not only is that a lie, as scripture proves and you continually ignore, but you also claim Jesus had a sin nature. Which is a lie since you could not sustain that falsehood with scripture.

I also know that when you and others claim Jesus was a mere man with a sin nature you're blaspheming the son of man. Which is a forgivable sin. Not the case when you blasphemed God's holy spirit.

Believe what your temple commands. It won't help you.

How was God being tested?

Matthew 4:7
Jesus replied, “It is also written: ‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test.’ ”

[Cross reference with Deuteronomy 6:16]

Jesus was informing the adversary of who he was as the adversary tempted what he thought was a mere man to prove he was who the people said he was. God in the flesh.

Satan, the adversary, by his nature would tempt Jesus.
Being Jesus had no sin nature, and why is told us in that passage, Satan could tempt Jesus as much as he wished.
Jesus/God knew no sin. And Satan found that out when he failed to tempt God to transgress his own laws.

Adding this: The other reason Immanuel (God with us) did not have a sin nature? He was not seeded into Mary's womb by Joseph.

And Mary was highly favored by God, as the angel told her before she agreed God could do with her as he willed. That ,means she was in God's grace.
God's grace saves those whom he called to faith and salvation.Irrevocably.
This is why Immanuel/Jesus was not born with a sin nature.

God beget himself upon Mary, who was full of his grace. And as such was not born of a sinful woman.

He was the Lamb of God, born without spot or blemish.

Ask yourself, how would a sinful ''mere man'' save people from sin? When he'd first need be saved himself if he had a sin nature.

Indeed and Jesus knew it was Him who was being tested.

Some have mentioned that Jesus never mentioned Himself as God yet in that verse He is, saying to satan don't test your God.

Hard to miss that isn't it?

Along with all those other verses that tell us Jesus was God. And in one case we learned that before Immanuel was begat upon Mary.
Even the OT told us this was coming.

Isaiah 7:14 (CJB)Therefore Adonai himself
will give you people a sign:
the young woman* will become pregnant,
bear a son and name him ‘Immanu El [God is with us].
