This is probably the better translation, since I don't see "Always" and "Never" in the Hebrew. "Always" and "never" were probably added to improve the Proverbs stylistically.
I just consider this one a matter of having the wisdom to know when to apply verse 4 or verse 5, depending on the situation.
I'm more interested in contradictions like Luke reporting that Judas died in a fall, while Matthew reports that he hanged himself. I still think Simon the Zealot slit his throat in a Jerusalem back alley. The Zealots knew how to handle traitors!

The gentleman didn’t agree with me that scripture could appear to be contradictory or that it actually IS contradictory until we understand the verses together.
When you understand it together, instead of just the one part, you go from a pancake not turned to a pancake turned and ready to eat.

I think he hung himself but then the tree branch broke and he fell headlong into the valley and when he hit the ground his body split open and his intestines came out.
Have you seen men in here answer a fool in the same foolish way they are speaking? Of course you have. It devolves into flesh fueled madness.
And have you seen a man in here answer a fool but not answer in the same foolish manner that they are speaking in?
If a mans flesh is stirred up by another mans flesh, and he answers, he becomes as foolish.

Here it's all serious for me except in the few fun threads.
I heard a man speak further on it the other day but I won’t be able to do it justice…but it had to do with where all the potters worked, like…the potters district, which he said was at the top of the valley and if a vessel came out too marred to use, they threw it out, down into the valley and it smashed to pieces.
