I have received some personal revelation from the Holy Spirit and so I asked God which church is his church. And no reply. Which leads me to believe that God doesn't testify of churches. Anybody else have that happen?

Buildings are just meeting places for the people who are the actual Church. The true Church is the body of believers of whatever race, nationality background or status who are re-born spiritually. There are so many different denominations or fellowships. A bit like allotments all growing some kind of fruit but some better than others.I have received some personal revelation from the Holy Spirit and so I asked God which church is his church. Yes I'm seeking the Lord to reveal to me which denomination to follow. I haven't got an answer that I am feeling positive about.Buildings are just meeting places for the people who are the actual Church. I am non-denominational.... I have learned to appreciate certain things in many denominations, to find the truth each of them has, as we all know in part. I drank the milk of doctrine in a Baptist church, but now I try and digest the meat of the Word by the Spirit's leading. a complete view of truth IMO comes from searching for the Unity of the Spirit in the Bond of Peace. (Ephesians 4:3)Yes I'm seeking the Lord to reveal to me which denomination to follow. I haven't got an answer that I am feeling positive about.
I have a similar experience.I am non-denominational.... I have learned to appreciate certain things in many denominations, to find the truth each of them has, as we all know in part. I would tend to agree that perhaps God works thru various denominations to bring people closer to him.Another non-denom, here. I believe God is working in many if not all churches in different ways to different people.
In another thread, an observation was there is only 3 denominations where every congregation in the world hears the same sermon. Most denominations the pastor, being in touch with the specific needs of his flock, tailors a sermon for that particular group of people.
It's all good.
Hope you get the guidance you seek.Yes I'm seeking the Lord to reveal to me which denomination to follow. I haven't got an answer that I am feeling positive about.
I think I am, I'm prayerfully seeking. I'm still uncertain though.Hope you get the guidance you seek.
You forgot a few: "But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, (The Holy Spirit) and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him."I've tried a few churches over the years but never felt comfortable in any of them, so quickly made my way to the exit and am quite happy to be non-denominational..
We non-denoms are therefore free to think for ourselves without having to toe any churches line, and neither do we need any pastors or ministers or priests to tell us what to think..
Jesus said:-"You have one teacher, me" (Matt 23:10)
"And the common people heard him gladly" (Mark 12:37)
"There is one mediator between God and men, the man Jesus Christ" (1 Tim 2:5)
"Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith" (Heb 12:2)
"There is no other name under heaven that can save us" (Acts 4:12)
I think it is not worth your time. With >35K denominations, who among us can take the time to develop a matrix of all their denominations? And I'm wondering which of those God supports in all truth from the Spirit?
Thanks! And yes He will and is already pulling His sheep "out of her". As His word states, men will eventually not adhere to sound doctrine...happening in so many "church's" anymore that, trying to "fit into" them is counterproductive, IMHO.Why can we simply not follow God, believe his word and stand in that?
@Nancy has said it very well.
There is no building made with hands that houses God.
God is NOT a denomination, statement of faith nor creed.
His DOCTRINES are in his word !
He will bring fellowship outside the buildings to those who seek him !
God has a church, and it should be around today according to the bible. I would like to know which one it is. God will respond if I seek him diligently. See Matthew 16:18-19:Why can we simply not follow God, believe his word and stand in that?

Look at the seven church's in Rev. 2 and 3. Each one except the last, Laodicea, had some good things said to them by Jesus. It brings to my mind a picture of Him plucking out the faithful who are still among the un faithful...don't matter if they are sitting in the same denomination or building. God is NOT a denomination, He is a uniter of those who follow His commands.God has a church, and it should be around today according to the bible. I would like to know which one it is. God will respond if I seek him diligently. See Matthew 16:18-19:
18 And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it. 19 And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”

And I pray you find the truth as well. May God keep working with you to have peace.Acts 17:24 ( cxt 22-25)
God that made the world and all things therein, SEEING THAT HE IS LORD OF HEAVEN AND EARTH,DWELLETH ....NOT.. IN TEMPLES MADE WITH HANDS;
Hebrews 9:11 ( cxt 9-12)
But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say not of this building.
Devin, I'm saying this with all love. You need to get stable in God ,quit being tossed about with every wind of doctrine. You watch Catholics and other denoms which pulls your heart in different directions.
God does not have a church except the body of Christ ,period. Now you can get ruffled and hurt, that is not my intent, or you can listen. Get it right with God not just a head right but all right heart, soul and mind.
God is through playing our games of self righteousness.
He demands that if we call on his name then all better be right in our souls. It is time and we only have time as God allows us.
There may be many fellowships out there that have the remnant of God's believers in them, pray for him to show you what true believers are.
And I pray you find the truth as well. May God keep working with you to have peace.
