I’m Not Going To Hell; How About You? = John 14;6, John 14;10-14
---------------------------------------------------------------------------

John 14;6
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

John 14;10-13
Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? The words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, He doeth the works. Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake. Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

John 14:19-21
Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also. At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you. He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

Matthew 5:29-30
And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell. And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.

Proverbs 27:20
Hell and destruction are never full; so the eyes of man are never satisfied.

Isaiah 5:14
Therefore hell hath enlarged herself, and opened her mouth without measure: and their glory, and their multitude, and their pomp, and he that rejoiceth, shall descend into it.

Matthew 10;28
And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear Him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

Matthew 18:9
And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life with one eye, rather than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire.

Mark 9:43
And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:

Mark 9;45-48
And if thy foot offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter halt into life, than having two feet to be cast into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched: Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched. And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out: it is better for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire: Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.

Luke 12;5
But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear Him, which after He hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear Him.

Isaiah 14:9
Hell from beneath is moved for thee to meet thee at thy coming: it stirreth up the dead for thee, even all the chief ones of the earth; it hath raised up from their thrones all the kings of the nations.

II Peter 2:4-9
For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment; And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly; And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly; And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked: For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds; The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:

Revelation 20:13-15
And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.

John 14;6
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

AMEN

and the doctrine the apostels left us in said bible . OR WE IS A FOLLOWING ANOTHER jesus . and ps there is a reason i did not capitalize that jesus .

Everyone dies and goes to Hell today when they die. The problem with people today, is they think Hell is a place of fiery torment, when the truth is, when the scriptures were first translated from Greek to English, the english word Hell was used to replace the Greek word Hades, and Hades simply meant a place that the dead go and sleep in death until the resurrection. Jesus went to Hell for parts of three days when he sacrificed his human life, he was not in a fiery torment place, he was dead for parts of three days. So those who go to Hell today when they die, sleep in death until they're resurrected.

???? How do you figure that?
Here is a brief explination

Hell (hades) is the Greek counterpart used for the Hebrew word sheol ….which is the reign or state of being in the grave …not the grave itself which is quber.

Interpreters Dictionary of the Bible {1962 vol. 1 p788} states “

The English word hell has taken on the mythological Greek meaning associated with the pagan idea of an underworld where the dead continue to live on in torment.

The standard for truth in defining words has got to come from the Bible itself, not from the meaning (s) attached to it, which is where the confusion comes in.
In Greek mythology Hades was the god of the underworld and his name came to represent this fictitious place that we understand as Hell.

Biblical translation has been synonymous in their definition with sheol, hades, gehenna, katakaio, and tartaros as that of eternal torment. Those are the words used that have been translated into our one English word for hell; they are not the same.

There are those in Christendom that believe the words, paradise, sheol, hades, gehenna, katakaio, and tartaros are synonyms as that for eternal torment.

Jesus could not have gone to such a place after He died, but to heaven, because at the cross He cried with a loud voice to the Father, "into thy hands I commit my spirit." Just as a believer goes to heaven after death (2 Corinthians 5:8).

Most Christians do not know how to read Scripture, and most importantly do not know how to connect the dots, and therefore their conclusions come up short and very faulty.

Perhaps you have never read this Jun: Prophecy:

Ps 16:10For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.
Fulfillment:

Ac 2:31He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption.
You are correct Jun, he did go to heaven, but give or take some 40 days later. He was only in hell from his death to his resurrection. Hell is the abode of the dead, everyone who dies goes there, but the good news is, all who go there will be resurrected, it will be emptied and no longer needed it will be cast into the lake of fire.

Re 20:13And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
Re 20:14And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

To God Be The Glory
Only after the resurrection did believers go into heaven when they died.

Father, "into thy hands I commit my spirit.", did not signify where he was going after being crucified. Just that HE was trusting His Father to do right by Him, throwing Himself onto the judgement of God, and also acknowledging the Father God would raise Him up by the Father's power.

Christ did descend into the lower parts of the earth (hades), but not for any kind of torment. And Paradise in hades was never any kind of torment, and it was not heaven either in the time before Christ's resurrection.

Ephesians 4

7 But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of Christ’s gift. 8 Therefore He says:

“When He ascended on high,
He led captivity captive,
And gave gifts to men.”
9 (Now this, “He ascended”—what does it mean but that He also [d]first descended into the lower parts of the earth? 10 He who descended is also the One who ascended far above all the heavens, that He might fill all things.)

1 Peter 3
18 For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring [a]us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive by the Spirit, 19 by whom also He went and preached to the spirits in prison, 20 who formerly were disobedient, [b]when once the Divine longsuffering waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was being prepared, in which a few, that is, eight souls, were saved through water.

Peter and Paul verify Christ descended into Hell or Hades after His death.
Besides that this, Christ now has the keys of hell and death. Having been there Himself.

Acts 2

25 For David says concerning Him:

‘I foresaw the Lord always before my face,
For He is at my right hand, that I may not be shaken.
26 Therefore my heart rejoiced, and my tongue was glad;
Moreover my flesh also will rest in hope.
27 For You will not leave my soul in Hades,
Nor will You allow Your Holy One to see corruption.
28 You have made known to me the ways of life;
You will make me full of joy in Your presence.’

Revelation 1
17 And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as dead. But He laid His right hand on me, saying [i]to me, “Do not be afraid; I am the First and the Last. 18 I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of [j]Hades and of Death.

Acts 2, just this one paragraph is sufficient proof Christ went to HADES after His death.

25 For David says concerning Him: (CHRIST that is)

‘I foresaw the Lord always before my face,
For He is at my right hand, that I may not be shaken.
26 Therefore my heart rejoiced, and my tongue was glad;
Moreover my flesh also will rest in hope.
27 For You will not leave my soul in Hades,
Nor will You allow Your Holy One to see corruption.
28 You have made known to me the ways of life;
You will make me full of joy in Your presence.’

29 “Men and brethren, let me speak freely to you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his tomb is with us to this day. 30 Therefore, being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him that of the fruit of his body, [i]according to the flesh, He would raise up the Christ to sit on his throne, 31 he, foreseeing this, spoke concerning the resurrection of the Christ, that His soul was not left in Hades, nor did His flesh see corruption. 32 This Jesus God has raised up, of which we are all witnesses. 33 Therefore being exalted [j]to the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, He poured out this which you now see and hear.

The thief on the cross was promised to be in paradise by the Lord which is the 3rd Heaven and not hades or sheol.
Actually it wasn’t the thief ….it was one of the malefactor ….Luk 23:39-42

Both the thieves (robbers) cast the same in his teeth ….Mat 27:38-44

We know from scripture that Jesus didn’t go to paradise He was in the heart of the earth for 3 days and 3 nights. But the way the scripture reads is awkward …showing them both in Paradise.

One of the things to always keep in mind is that ….chapters, verses & punctuation were all added by translators …they are very helpful …..but devoid of authority.

KJV
Luk 23:43
And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise.

If you remove the comma after thee and place it after today you will have the correct rendering which fits with the rest of the Bible … The Aramaic Peshitta text has the correct punctuation.
The words "I say unto thee" or "I say unto thee today" ...were a common idiom in biblical times.

Pishitta
Luke 23:43 - Jesus said to him, Truly I say to you today, you will be with me in Paradise.

Biblically …. Paradise is any place on earth …and the malefactor will be with Jesus when He returns to earth and sets ups his Kingdom.

Jesus paid the price . He tasted death for us . I think a good reminder is needed my friend .
He who believes in me shall never die . To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord .
Let us praise and thank the Lord . Only the body dies but the soul belongs to the LORD .
The key is , BELIEVE YE IN JESUS CHRIST and embrace His promises .

You're not quite right. We also know from scripture that Jesus Saud he'd be in paradise that very day that he made the promise to the thief on the cross and we also know that paradise is a specific place also the third heaven.

Well, you're not quite right. Jesus was also in paradise that very day he made the promise to the thief and paradise is a very specific place in the heavens, the 3rd Heaven.

You're not quite right. We also know from scripture that Jesus Saud he'd be in paradise that very day that he made the promise to the thief on the cross and we also know that paradise is a specific place also the third heaven.

Luke 24:43

43 And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, Today shalt thou be with me in paradise.

2 Cor 12:3-5

Well, you're not quite right. Jesus was also in paradise that very day he made the promise to the thief and paradise is a very specific place in the heavens, the 3rd Heaven.

2 Cor 12:2-4

2I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) such an one caught up to the third heaven. 3And I knew such a man, (whether in the body, or out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) 4How that he was caught up into paradise, and heard unspeakable words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter.

Luke 23:43

43 And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, Today shalt thou be with me in paradise.
It is now, but Christ moved paradise out of Hades in His ascension into heaven, because Christ went to Hades after he died that very same day, He said he would also be in Paradise. and He was in the heart of the earth for 3 days.
Christ did not ascend into heaven immediately after His death.

We also know that must be true as Christ tells Mary not to cling onto Him as He had not yet ascended, but He at that point had been resurrected.
If Christ said He had not yet ascended back to God in heaven, then He had not yet gone back into Heaven had He. So what your proposing is impossible, If PARADISE was at this time in Heaven with the Father.

People here are making up stories about something they have no knowledge of, but the scripture tells us the truth of the matter.
Or now you are going to say Christ ascended multiple times to the Father... Which is also another fake news story.
===========================
John 20
11 But Mary stood outside by the tomb weeping, and as she wept she stooped down and looked into the tomb. 12 And she saw two angels in white sitting, one at the head and the other at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain. 13 Then they said to her, “Woman, why are you weeping?”

She said to them, “Because they have taken away my Lord, and I do not know where they have laid Him.”

14 Now when she had said this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there, and did not know that it was Jesus. 15 Jesus said to her, “Woman, why are you weeping? Whom are you seeking?”

She, supposing Him to be the gardener, said to Him, “Sir, if You have carried Him away, tell me where You have laid Him, and I will take Him away.”

16 Jesus said to her, “Mary!”

She turned and said to [c]Him, “Rabboni!” (which is to say, Teacher).

17 Jesus said to her, “Do not cling to Me, for I have not yet ascended to My Father; but go to My brethren and say to them, ‘I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.’ ”

18 Mary Magdalene came and told the [d]disciples that she had seen the Lord, and that He had spoken these things to her.

Further evidence as if we needed it. Jesus only ascended back to the Father after further instructing the disciples.

Mark 16, this would have been after the 40 days prior to ascension and after resurrection, and after the 3 days in the heart of the earth in Hades-Paradise where Christ also preached or proclaimed to them Himself.

19 So then, after the Lord had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God. 20 And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word through the accompanying signs. Amen.

Matthew 12:40
For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

Acts 1

New King James Version

Prologue

1 The former account I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach, 2 until the day in which [a]He was taken up, after He through the Holy Spirit had given commandments to the apostles whom He had chosen, 3 to whom He also presented Himself alive after His suffering by many [b]infallible proofs, being seen by them during forty days and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God.

The Holy Spirit Promised

4 And being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, “which,” He said, “you have heard from Me; 5 for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.” 6 Therefore, when they had come together, they asked Him, saying, “Lord, will You at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?” 7 And He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has put in His own authority. 8 But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be [c]witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

Jesus Ascends to Heaven

9 Now when He had spoken these things, while they watched, He was taken up, and a cloud received Him out of their sight. 10 And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as He went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel, 11 who also said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven.”

===========================

Paradise and the 3rd Heaven appear to be one in the same, as they are referred to interchangeably in the aforementioned scripture. There is no scripture saying paradise was moved by Christ; that too is a made-up story. And I'm not proposing anything; just simply citing the scriptures and reading them as they are written. You can surmise or second guess or whatever, but that's how they read and there's no more clarity provided to us.

Obviously there is clarity.
Fact 1, Christ is 3 nights in the heart of the earth.
Fact 2, Christ tells the man on the cross next to Him, that day he will be with Christ in Paradise.
Fact 3, Peter preaches God will not leave Christ's soul in Hades
Fact 4, Christ does not ascend to the Father until Acts 1, after 40 days of teaching the apostles some and more and showing people He is alive, resurrected.
Fact 5, Paradise then can not be in heaven with God at this time.
Fact 6, Peter tells us Christ went to the spirits in prison who died during the flood to preach to them, and since we know how wicked they were that God killed and destroyed the earth at that time, those imprisoned spirits are in hell.

Fact 7, no one has ascended into heaven except Christ
John 3:13
No one has ascended to heaven but He who came down from heaven, that is, the Son of Man who is in heaven.

The only way to the Father in Heaven is by way of Christ. None of the OT saints went to Heaven to live with God until Christ came.
The whole reason Christ came is so that people would not perish in hell, (hades), the place where people went after they died before the resurrection and ascension of Christ. Even though they had faith, none of the OT saints received the promise, Hebrews 11, as none of them could be perfected without Christ. So they went to Paradise, at that time a compartment of Hades. And were kept there not free to leave.
The truth about what Paradise was Jesus teaches in the Lazarus and the rich man story. They were kept separate, the righteous dead from the wicked dead with in-between a huge gulf, yet each side could see the other and even talk to them. And the angels in Paradise in Hades ministered to the OT saints. That was Paradise where Christ went when He died, not to suffer in hell. And it was in the heart of the earth a place of the dead, as without Christ no one had eternal life. Which is where Chrit went, as it says Christ descended into the lower parts of the earth.

Gives more understanding to John 3:16
16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

Paradise at the time was not eternal life with God in heaven, it was a temporary waiting place.

While scripture does not say Christ moved Paradise, it implies that He did.

8 Therefore He says:

“When He ascended on high,
He led captivity captive,

And gave gifts to men.”

Leading captivity captive were all those in paradise in hades, and Christ took them all into heaven with Him when he ascended.

As after the ascension we read Paradise is in heaven with Christ.

As Paul writes,
