My greatest inspiration has to be my God, my Lord Jesus Christ; His HolySpirit inspires my motives, thoughts, actions, and words daily. To think of His life, His gift, and His impact on this planet (as a man alone), brings me to tears. Let alone Him being the creator of all things, simply awesome.
Other people I am inspired by that are not biblical, (the biblical list is just too long), are Dr. Martian Luther King Jr. During an age where violence was easy, and temptation was thick, he endured in his non-violent movement against tyranny and oppression. Being warned not to go to Memphis, like our Lord his cause was greater than himself, so he went anyways.
Martian Luther, because he stood against the teachings of a church he loved that had fallen away from what christianity is about, seeking financial gain over true salvation for the lost. Being he had everything to lose by going against the establishment, he rebelled anyways.
I am inspired by the countless, nameless Christians that died for a Lord they had never seen. Standing true to their convictions, given the opportunity to stop believing and live, or continue and die, they continued to believe anyways.
I am inspired by anyone who stands for what is righteous, just, and holy, against any opposition great or small.
I am inspired by the multitude of stars in the sky and by the expanse of the ocean as I stand on the beach and feel so small. I am inspired by a flower in mid bloom as it reaches for the rays of the sun, and the warmth in a mother's eyes as she looks at her new born babe in her arms. I am inspired by beautiful orchestrations of music by the great symphonies of the world, and by the man in the big city playing his only horn with his hat on the ground. I am inspired by the determination of the bee colony to keep their queen fed and protected, and by the sheer will of survival of the polar bear. I am inspired by God most of all again.
