In Plain Sight
So many times, I wish I had a friend like you.
But I’m going through changes, facing what is true.
Oh, I've been set apart, hoping that there will be a time,
Where no darkness lives, just the light of Christ that shines.
I’ll meet you where we first began.
Perhaps someday; we may meet again.
But I am dreaming of a brand-new day.
The sun is shining, and I am on my way.
To put you through it, I couldn’t do it.
You're an inspiration despite our transformation.
I’m going back to a heart of worship.
Where we knelt before the Ancient of Days.
We were destined to return where our paths once crossed.
And meet again at the foot of the cross.
