All false revivals build up an outer man religious flesh. We see this with all the apparitions that just keep repeating over and over...I love you, I love you! Heady stuff. Sure to get the outer man interested in such a god.

A lovelorn needy God??? Really?

It's a good thing we have the words from God to help us see through the great delusion...that cements in the flesh SO strongly.

Rev. 3:19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.

Heb. 12:6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.
7 If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?

If people were honest they would think only the devil goes hard on...rebukes, whips, chastens, rebukes....believers. As we can attest to here. How many have fallen for another gospel...of freedom IN sin???

Yet we see that the opposite is true. People want to be molly-coddled by God. Instead the devil comes to them saying "I love you, I love you" posing as an angel of light...or even Jesus Himself. And people get it into their heads that God is in love with their flesh so much...just as much as they are. It takes very little to convince carnal people that God is in love with their carnal selves.

That's why its called Great Delusion.

I would gently disagree with you here @Lizbeth and see my post #181--and your thoughts. If we are AS holy and AS righteous as Christ is, inherently--we don't need sanctification and the Holy Spirit.

Eph 4:24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

After God (kata theon). After the pattern God, the new birth, the new life in Christ, destined to be like God in the end (Rom_8:29).
Rom 8:29 For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers.
Rom 8:30 And those whom he predestined he also called, and those whom he called he also justified, and those whom he justified he also glorified.--if you read slowly, sanctification is not mentioned here

Eph 6:11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.

Isa 52:1 Awake, awake, Sion; put on thy strength, O Sion; and o thou put on thy glory, Jerusalem the holy city: there shall no more pass through thee, the uncircumcised and unclean.

Rom 13:12 The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.
Rom 13:14 But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.

Co 15:53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
1Co 15:54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.

1Co 15:55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
1Co 15:56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.

Gal 3:27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

--if we are AS holy and righteous as Christ is--in the inner man--why the need for further clothing--the putting on and putting off?

put: Eph_6:11; Job_29:14; Isa_52:1, Isa_59:17; Rom_13:12, Rom_13:14; 1Co_15:53; Gal_3:27; Col_3:10-14
new: Eph_2:15; Rom_6:4; 2Co_4:16, 2Co_5:17; 1Pe_2:2
after: Gen_1:26-27; 2Co_3:18; Col_3:10; 1Jn_3:2
created: Eph_2:10; Gal_6:15
righteousness: Psa_45:6-7; Rom_8:29; Tit_2:14; Heb_1:8, Heb_12:14; 1Jn_3:3
true holiness: or, holiness of truth, Joh_17:17
I've just read through your posts here again. Still digesting . . .

Much love!

So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God
At the beginning God said, "Let us make man in our image, after our likeness." St. Paul tells us that believers are now "changed into the same image from glory to glory" (2Co_3:18; comp. also 1Co_11:7; Eph_4:24; Col_3:10; Rom_8:29; 1Co_15:49, etc.). Christians, born of God (Joh_1:13; 1Pe_1:23), are made "partakers of Christ" (Heb_3:14), "partakers of the Holy Ghost" (Heb_6:4). Christ prayed for us that we might be "made perfect in one" with himself who is one with God the Father, through the indwelling presence of the Holy Ghost the Comforter (Joh_17:20-23; Joh_14:16, Joh_14:17, Joh_14:23). The second person is used to imply that the promises made to all Christians (unto us) belong to those whom St. Peter now addresses.
Pulpit

We can take every verse and see if it is in the Perfect, or Aorist--although I must admit in the new man--indwelt dia the Holy Spirit--something radical happened.

example . many try and pit paul and james against each other .
NEITHER MAN contradicted the other .
JAMES KNEW as well as PAUL that one is saved by grace by faith in Christ . JAMES
was just saying if your works are evil , YOU DONT KNOW HIM OR FOLLOW HIM .
And paul , lets examine what he says too .
HE says IF a man wont take care of his own , specially those of his own house
HE HAS DENIED THE FAITH . same as JAMES SAID . HE is worse than an infidel .
THERE IS NO CONTRADICTION in the bible . THERE Might be misunderstandings which seem like a contradiction ,
BUT IT AINT . the more we read that bible the more it comes together .

all false revivals wont Expose or correct sin . Learn that well .
I see many in this social all inclusive gospel hollering about this big awakening
only to go research this so called big awakening to find out Folks in sins , SEEM TO BE HAVING ZERO CONVICTION
of certain sins . I see blatant homosexuals leading the show in some places .
ALL they do is talk about SAFE ROOMS and safe places . I also watch who heads these things .
THEY mostly all tied to ROME , to unity with francis , to acceptance of CERTAIN SINS
and to the embracing of SOCIAL JUSTICE . YOU better watch out , A BIG FALLING AWAY is occuring
and most folks are calling it revival .

Let me rephrase the question.

Will there be a future judgment where those who are not saved/ have eternal life be condemned forever and be in the lake of fire with the devil and his angels ? yes or no

And answering a question with a questions is a is the fallacy known as the many questions fallacy.

hope this helps !!!
No, what helps is evangelical apologist C. S. Lewis' famous insight: "The gates of Hell are locked from the inside." Would you be helped by a Bible study on this topic? Then start a new thread and stop diverting this one away from mass revival. Revival is a totally different topic from individual sanctification, righteousness, and holiness. Rather, it begins with something not overlooked on this thread--the experiential aspects of Pauline pneumatology:

"My speech and proclamation were not with plausible words of wisdom, BUT WITH A DEMONSTRATION OF THE SPIRIT AND OF POWER, that your faith might not rest on the wisdom of words, but on the power of God (1 Corinthians 2:4-5)."
"But I will come to you soon, if the Lord wills, and I will find out not your [God-] talk but your power. For the kingdom of God depends not on [God-] talk but on power (1 Corinthians 4:19-20)."

Revival is unbelievers being converted. Stop diverting with your unbiblical ideas.

Worry not about following grammer , AND DO ALWAYS GO TO THE SCRIPS TO TEST ALL THINGS .
many are being decieved through grammer and that is a fact . Not saying johann is
but just saying . men have crept in with agendas and their greek points to an agenda that will CONTRADICT
other places in the scriptures . YOU STICK TO THE SCRIPTURES . STICK TO CHRIST , FOLLOW HIM .
I believe studying the grammar and original languages can be helpful in the Holy Ghost, as long as that is who/what we're placing our reliance on. Different people have different gifts though.

We have very reliable of the Greek Translations of the New Testament. the NASB, ESV, RSV, NKJV are good word for word translations from Greek into English. Word studies are great and knowing the verb tenses are helpful. But like you say comparing scripture with scripture is the key for the Bible does not contradict itself. So is some self professed language expert claims the Greek says something that contradicts the plain teaching in other areas you know he is blowing smoke. I did study Greek for 2 years in the 80's and it was helpful but its definitely not necessary.
Amen. Comparing scripture with scripture...the whole counsel of God. There is no contradiction, and that is how we know Paul never wrote any lie in any of his letters too...because everything he wrote agrees with all the other scriptures.

The next time a man tries to bring in the idea that other religoins are finding their way to GOD , HE GONNA THINK TWICE .
I bet epi rues the day he brought that up and by grace i came along and pointed RIGHT TO CHRIST ANDHE ALONE .
By the grace of GOD i wont allow one inch of that lie to enter here . I am fat and happy
that others stood up as well and pointed to CHRIST ALONE . that makes my soul very happy to see
others contending for the true faith as well .

I am different--I go on the grammars and Syntax why? That is just who I am.
Amen. I have no problem with studying things out, I often look up the Greek or Hebrew words and definitions and check biblical usage of words to try and get a sense of what is being conveyed. I only meant that sometimes my brain isn't always up to certain tasks, especially post-change-of-life. Without scholarship believers wouldn't have any translations at all in our own languages.
