They figured out that if they cannot keep blacks subjugated on plantations, they would create the welfare plantation and frighten them into voting Democrat because they would starve to death under the Republican majority rule.

Easy solution to welfare fraud, etc. If you are able-bodied and on welfare, the bus will pick you up each morning and bring you to work on a road crew, cleanup crew, grass cutting, etc. (jobs we pay companies to do that the government doesn't have the personnel to do). If you're not on the bus and you don't work, no check. I think they may have tried this in Wisconsin some years back, and the welfare rolls miraculously plummeted! Welfare was never meant to be a lifestyle. It was to be a very temporary help for people between jobs, etc. They could also use some of the billions in savings to set up trade schools so that those on welfare could up their skill level and get a good job. Currently, the Baby Boomer generation are all retiring or dying off. They are, hands down, the largest generation. And for every 5 skilled laborers (plumber, carpenter, electrician, HVAC tech, etc.) that are retiring, only 2 are being replaced! Can you imagine needing a plumber and not being able to find one?!
