parts of it are no longer required, such as the levitical sacrificial laws. Must most of those laws are just as good taday as they day God created them.Ah,but recall those who insist God's law no longer exists.
I know you do. (Hugs back)
Only difference is we're not stoned for not keeping them. God took "judgement" of the law out of man's hands and put them in our hearts and minds.
I mean, I believe that sowing the land for 6 years and letting it rest the 7th is wise in that it gives the land some time to replenish the minerals. Everything needs rest. And My dad has gout. And shellfish is a big culprit of causing purine to build up in the kidneys which causes gout.
So why did God say dont eat shellfish? Maybe because there was no medice for gout back then.
Maybe because they're bottom feeders and eat whatever is on the bottom of the lake/sea.
There are health reasons maybe they didn't understand back then, but with the help of "science" we can see the wisdom of those laws.
Im not opposed to God's laws at all. And I'm not a Jew. I just understand the practicality and the wisdom in them.
Some are way outdated and don't apply to everyone.
God created those laws for a peculiar and special people to seperate them from the gentile nations around them.
It drew attention to them so they could see the blueprint for mankind from God through Israel.
But we all fall down, we all break laws. Some worse than others. We're not perfect yet in the flesh.
Still need work in the spirit as well.
Bur yeah, I've had this conversation many times and been agreed to and chided for and called names over.. yadda yadda.
I have a hard time getting the meat of what I believe.
We are no longer under the law of condemnation but under grace.
That does not mean that God's law isn't righteous and useful and scientifcally proveable.
He made them for his garden, the earth.. and I believe many of them are still relevant today.
