Both are very sweet , mostly sugar, candy floss melts in your mouth , pretty sure you must have it in America ( sometimes on sale at fairs ) it’s probably got a different name. Rock is very hard, like a lollipop but long and round.

I think we call candy floss cotton candy! What a cool food to be known for!!

Lexington Style bbq, pulled pork, vinegar based bbq, collard greens with meat and sugar in them, fried chicken, biscuits, corn bread, hush puppies, flounder, and sweet tea.

Lol, you can maybe guess where I'm at. Anyone else?
I can only speak for myself. I like Wendy's hamburgers and fries, and 7-11's Bon Appetit apple Danishes. And orange juice. And I am a potato chip addict.

upload_2022-10-2_12-35-18.jpegA soft drink which has been made in my state since 1926. (When I was a teenager, my buddies and I called it “Kentucky Swamp Water”.) It’s actually quite delicious and tastes something like a cross between 7UP and Sprite.

It used to be oranges, but most of the orange groves are long gone.

:(

Much love!
I lived in Florida for about a decade. Oranges and Grapefruit. And Key Lime pie. Our pastor's wife made the most fantastic Key Lime pie.

The grandkids live down in Texas. When we were there, we had to try the Tex-Mex.

Grew up in Colorado. The only food we're famous for (other than Coors beer) is Rocky Mountain Oysters. (Don't ask!)

Somewhere on the Gulf Coast?

In AZ where I live... street tacos, elote, frijoles, nopales, mole... most of it is "Mexican" food but tbh we do it better here than in Mexico.

.
I was born in and lived a few years in Pensacola.

I remember the first cruise the wife and I went on when I ordered Key Lime pie for dessert. The waiter brought it and it was GREEN. I politely asked him to take it away and ask the chef what color it should actually be - lol.

I would move there for the street tacos! To ask for blackened shrimp is that considered street tacos?

You name it, we have it. From Italian, to Chinese, to Mexican, Vietnamese, Thai, Indian, Polish, German...on and on. American summer staples are hot dogs, hamburgers, different salads like, macaroni salad, potato salad, baked beans. Buffalo is also the capitol of Pizzerias. Our junk food is better than I have had in any other state but, it will make you unhealthy, sure is tasty going down though, lol. My new favorite restaurant is called Alibaba's Kabob and ILOVE their chicken tandoori!
Not to mention chicken wings with a sauce hot enough to take the paint off a truck. (I'm about to have some for lunch!) joy:

Shrimp is a big part of Baja-style Mexican food, but in the Sonoran Desert where I live, they're usually carne asada (beef).

California does shrimp tacos better than we do. But then you'd have to travel to California... ew

With some Tony Packo's hot dogs?

Used to work with a guy who had family in Ohio. He'd bring back a cooler full of Tony Packo's every time he'd visit.
Add a few boxes of Ballreich potato chips?

Gotta love Ballreich's. Up to 2023 they were a 103 year old company. Then they were bought by another interest.

Tony's sells Hungarian hotdog kits ya know. :)
