Did Christ declare all foods clean?

Noah knew the difference between clean and unclean before the flood.

Did clean and unclean animals have anything to do with what was and wasn't good to eat?

Because there were clean and unclean animals before animals were allowed for food. So when God told Noah that he could eat any of the animals, that had nothing to do with clean and unclean, right?

So clean and unclean was about something else, not food. Right?

God tells us not to eat things like Pork, crab, cuttlefish, shellfish, lobster, etc. God had to put these laws in the Bible so that we could know certain creatures are harmful to eat.

He didn't tell us, He told the ancient Israelites in relation to their covenant with Him, made between God and Isreal at Mt. Horeb.

I think the only general instructions that God gave to people aside from related to God's Law Covenant with Israel were to Adam and Eve, that they could eat from every tree but one, then after the Fall, that they would eat the herb of the field, and to Noah, that he could eat of all the animals also.

To Israel, He restricted their eating to the clean animals. He gave no such restriction to anyone else.

And of course as Mark recorded, Jesus "cleansed all meats", then later saying to Peter, do not call unclean what I have cleansed.

It often seems that what is being exhibited by many (only the LORD knows who is whom) is not so much seeking of what the LORD designs but rather seeking that which He will excuse.

As pertains to Genesis 9:3, clean and unclean animals existed before and after the flood just as did clean and unclean herbs. Just because God said "every" does not mean that we should eat fruit that has mold on it or animals that have been designated as unclean without qualification.

All are free to cling to their traditions, as divinely-ordained religious liberty provides, but unwise actions often have terrible consequences. And God will not always protect the ignorant. He winks for a time and then calls all to repentance.

I'm afraid the constant call to stop judging is not going to make this issue go away.

Anyone who doesn't want to discuss it doesn't have to participate, do they?

Well now you are interjecting something the bible doesn't say. Fruit with mold is a clean fruit with a decay on it. It has become rotten, but there is no scriptural prohibition against eating it.

29 And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.

30 And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so.

This is what God said Adam and Eve could eat. No "clean or unclean" in these categories.

And as for "clean and unclean animals", that was for saxcrifice and not eating. Meat was prohibited until after the flood. And then this is what God said:

LOL Oh I love fruits and vegetables....these and black eyed peas are the only ones I do not like.

When I was in France my friends tried to get me to eat escargot but I refused. But when I was at Marriott-Frenchman's Cove in St. Thomas I decided to try every crazy thing on their menu so I ordered escargot, blackened shark, squid, and sea bass….and a fancy pinacolada. Expensive but I got pasted the smell and tasted them all. I can only recommend the blackened shark and the pinacolada.

Now we don't. But I am sure the first time mankind came across it they tried it. We may never know. That didn't turn that fruit uncelan, just decayed and not healthy to eatr. It didn't mean that all "pears" didn't become unclean.

You are amkming a guess that this was dietarty clean. but all we have for dietary instructions prior to the flood was than man was only to eat herbs with its seed and fruit with its seed. Animals were forbidden to eat.

Noah did know about animals that were clean/unclean to offer sacrifice to God.

You tell me how many connections wine has to Christianity.

You tell me why there is a good chance that a lot of the writers of the Old and New Testament probably had a cup of wine setting next to them as they wrote the scriptures.

The Old and New Testament was a culture of wine drinkers. What does the Bible say about drinking? It say things about drunkenness, gluttony, and covertness and lust, but that does not mean do not drink, eat, want things and be celibate.

If you do not come back with at least 40 examples of why drinking wine was a normal good thing, you have not researched it enough. And that is just the Bible, it does not include Christian history.

The problem with a lot of false beliefs is that you end up condemning other people and pile hot coals on your own head. Over something that is false, not to mention that it makes you look ignorant.
