Genesis
2:16 And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:
2:17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.
( Remember that this is God's word and it has never changed, even though we have inherited disobedience from Adam and Eve, all we need to know is obedience to the word of God. )
Genesis
3:1 Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?
3:4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:
3:5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
(every word here is a lie, if we don't know the word of God, we never know the good and evil, In other words, we only need to know God's word, not the so-called good and evil.)
What if we don't know the word of God?
We will be like the world today, call good evil, call evil good.(blind and Deaf)
That's why the world is so badly sometimes, becaus all human living under a lie that We have been eating from the tree of good and evil from the beginning until now. God said not to eat it.
The Gospel is the good news of God's salvation.born again in the word of God though Jesus Christ.
Praise the Lord and praise God.
Dear soberxp,
You asked:
What if we don't know the word of God?
We will be like the world today, calling good evil and evil good (blind and Deaf)?
The short answer to your second question is YES. Without the knowledge of the truth, a believer will call evil good and good evil.
I will explain below why a knowledge of the truth is so vitally important for a believer.
When Christ comes to an unbeliever, He will give them the
Early Rain of the Spirit. He will give them this gift without their asking for it and without their permission. With the Early Rain of the Spirit, the person will be "called to be a saint".
The Early Rain is a
small measure of the Spirit and is
not the baptism that the Apostles received on the Day of Pentecost. But even with just a small measure of the Spirit, a new believer will have a measure of faith and certain spiritual gifts. Then, when they are presented the Gospel, they will make a confession of faith and will call Jesus "Lord".
1Cor 12:3 Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Spirit.
But since the Early Rain of the Spirit will leave a new believer (a babe in Christ)
spiritually blind,
carnally minded and
unconverted, they will
not be able to understand the spiritual teachings of Christ. They will remain carnal in their understanding of Christ.
Paul refers to this type of understanding as "Christ and Him crucified" and John refers to it has seeing Christ "in the flesh". In other words, a babe can understand the
physical work & teachings of Christ (milk) that He performed under the Old Covenant. However, the
spiritual work & teachings of Christ of the New Covenant will remain mostly veiled from their understanding.
Because babes have almost no ability to understand the spiritual teachings of Christ, Satan will come to them and will spiritually kill them (make them unfaithful/loss of salvation).
This scripture applies:
Isa 28:9 Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts (a converted believer). 10 For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little: 11 For with stammering lips and another language (spiritual language) will he speak to this people. 12 But the word of the LORD was unto them (babes in Christ who draw milk) precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken (by Satan).
Christ also said it this way:
Mat 12:43 When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none. 44 Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished (void of the truth of Christ's spiritual teachings). 45 Then goeth he, and taketh with himself SEVEN other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation.
The spiritual symbol of an unclean spirit represents a spirit which teaches Satan's false truth through lies and deceptions. Since a new believer remains spiritually blind (Mark 8:21-25) after receiving the Early Rain of the Spirit, they cannot replace their worldly false beliefs with the truth of Christ. ONE unclean spirit leaves but comes back with SEVEN more. The number "seven" represents perfection. In this case, the number seven represents the perfection of Satan's lies/deceptions which come to a believer by the indwelling of the spirit of anti-Christ. Now, instead of ONE unclean spirit within the believer, they now have EIGHT. The number eight is a spiritual symbol which represents a new spiritual condition. In this case, the new spiritual condition is
worse than the first.
This "worse than the first" spiritual condition causes the believer to become a
False Prophet, a
Man of Sin, a
Minister of Satan and a
Seven Headed Beast with Ten Horns & Crowns.
After Satan has made the babe "worse than the first", they will confuse evil for good and accept the "perverse things" that Satan teaches:
Acts 20:29 For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock. 30 Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them. 31 Therefore watch, and remember, that by the space of three years I ceased not to warn every one night and day with tears.
Since the death of Paul, all the babes in the churches that the Apostles started were quickly devoured by Satan. Even after 1900 years, Satan is still devouring all the new believers shortly after Christ calls them to be a saint. Because Satan has this ability to deceive all the new babes in Christ, he has been able to build a large and powerful apostate church in this world - one which masquerades as the true church of Christ. Satan's church is made up of all the nearly 2,000 different denominations/sects/groups in this world who call themselves "Christian". In Satan's church there is a confusion of languages but they do have one belief in common and that is to
mix works with faith which is the sin that leads to death.
But since Christ has chosen a "few" of the "many" to actually become saints, He will come to those chosen few a second time. When He comes, He will pour out the Latter Rain of the Spirit (the baptism) upon them. With the indwelling Spirit of Truth, the chosen babe's spiritual blindness will be healed so that they can finally start understanding the truth of Christ's New Covenant teachings. After they have consumed a sufficient amount of truth, they will "see" the Abomination of Desolation that previously occurred within themselves when the spirit of anti-Christ indwelt them. When this happens, the babe will come out from Satan's deceptions. This event is commonly symbolized by the sun (Satan) and moon (Old Covenant/bondwoman) being darkened. Now with eyes that can see spiritually, Christ will appear (the Sun of Righteousness) and will gather the newly born child of God to heaven (spiritually speaking). The judgment of the Day of the Lord will then fall on the babe to remove and destroy the spirit of anti-Christ and the Great Harlot. After this judgment is complete, the babe will be converted and become as a little child who is weaned from the breasts. They are now ready to begin growing to maturity as a son of God.
Mat 18:3 And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.
Having the ability to understand and believe the full truth of Christ is one of the keys to a person's salvation. Without truth, a babe is going to remain lost and under Satan's deceptions. After they physically die and are resurrected, they will then appear before Christ when He sits upon His throne. It is at that time that Christ will tell them that He never knew them. They will then be cast into the Lake of Fire for judgment. But all is not lost for them because Christ's divine character causes Him to love & bless His enemies. During their judgment, Christ will not omit justice, mercy and faith. As a result, Christ save them all.
