So why does it say, "Based on the Good News Bible?" The Good New Bible isn't the same thing as the NIV (New International Version). For instance, the Good New Bible's translation of John 10:1 says:
“Jesus said, "I am telling you the truth: the man who does not enter the sheepfold by the gate, but climbs in some other way, is a thief and a robber.” (Joh 10:1 GNBE)
The NIV has:
"I tell you the truth, the man who does not enter the sheep pen by the gate, but climbs in by some other way, is a thief and a robber."
They are similar, but not the same.
