What is your take on Jesus when he said, 'Do not put your faith in me.' Can you imagine any founder of any religious movement where the leader tells the follower to NOT put your faith in me. You will have to search to find this phrase, but it is well worth your time. It will give you a grasp of what kind of faith Christ requires.
Where did Jesus say that?

Jesus said this in John 12:44
"Whoever believes in me does not believe in me only, but in the one who sent me".

Jesus did not say " Don't put your faith in me. " You can't post a scripture that says that.
Are you the betting kind of guy? I won't take your money, but I should so that you can realize that you may be studying the wrong authors. Have you done any serious study of the NT Greek?

I am giving the verse to everyone tomorrow. You will be surprised. I call it the alternative gospel message.

Making claims without scripture demonstrates you don't know what you are talking about.
You will see tomorrow. I am making those who are not serious students of the Scriptures do some independent study. Why doesn't someone pick up a concordance and you can easily find it.

You should have found the verse by now. I don't want to be rude, but I don't consider anyone a serious student of the Bible who can't find this verse in 10 minutes. You will be surprised tomorrow.

If I may say so, you are not making anyone do anything.

What you are doing is making a bad impression. Jesus never said what you claim.

If your intention is to promote a different Gospel here, then you are in the wrong community. There is one Gospel. All else is doctrines of demons.

Not quite, I didn't say that Jesus didn't ask unbelievers to have faith, but he ALSO said Don't put your faith in me. That is what I am referring to. Get your Gospels and look again. It is very important to actually see this text.
Since everyone seems so interested in this, I will now show you the verse. Gospel of John, Chapter 10

37 Do not put your faith in me unless I do the works of my Father.

38 But if I do them, even though you do not believe me, believe the works, that you may know and understand that the Father is in me, and I in the Father.”

37 is the astounding verse, but notice the secondary gospel that Christ gives in vs 38, believe the works.

What Jesus is saying is that faith is evidentiary faith, not blind faith.

There you have it!!

I decided to post the verse about a minute ago. Now you know where it is, and talking about making a bad impression, why are you saying that something in John 10 is not in our bible? I do accept apologies if you can handle it.

No,we don't.

You claimed Jesus said, 'Do not put your faith in me.'
And asked if we could imagine a religious leader saying such a thing.

Of course we could not. Because as you just proved,Jesus never said that.

Take heed.

My post appeared before your post of John 10.

Yes,I did talk about making a bad impression. And you did and still do when you abrogated part of John 10 . And therein misrepresented what Jesus actually said. And in order to give the false impression Jesus told us not to believe in him.

I feel sorry for you.
Here is something God knows of himself.
He is not mocked.

I cannot find what bible you are using.

John 10:37- KJV- If I do not the works of my Father, believe me not
That's because Kuwn is falsifying scripture.

John 10:37 " If I am not doing the works of My Father, then do not believe Me. 38But if I am doing them, even though you do not believe Me, believe the works themselves, so that you may know and understand that the Father is in Me, and I am in the Father.”

Believe the miracles that Jesus did , believe the miracles that are still happening today with Christians that believe .

Not a problem.

Christ always did what pleased the Father
Being the Son, He could do no less.

John 8:28-30

New King James Version

28 Then Jesus said to them, “When you lift[a] up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am He, and that I do nothing of Myself; but as My Father taught Me, I speak these things. 29 And He who sent Me is with Me. The Father has not left Me alone, for I always do those things that please Him.” 30 As He spoke these words, many believed in Him.

Ummm... That was a bit of sleight of hand there, LoL. You inverted the phrasing to put the second phrase first. The actual Greek reads, "If I do not do the works of My Father, believe Me not." :clmSmlx

I am using the critical text of the Greek NT. You are probably reading other people's opinions in an English Translation.

What critical text? There is not a single MSS in existence that does not have εἰ οὐ ποιῶ τὰ ἔργα τοῦ πατρός μου, μὴ πιστεύετέ μοι·
