Did you know why the Jewish people say the day begins at evening and ends in the morning?

3 Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light. 4 And God saw the light, that it was good; and God divided the light from the darkness. 5 God called the light Day, and the darkness He called Night. [b]So the evening and the morning were the first day.

All the days of the creation, God speaks of in this way.

Before the Sun and moon and stars, God declared days according to the light and the darkness.
And those days signified something, and evening, and a morning.

Much love!

Yes, it is like the time of when a day starts, God had set shifted from what we think of as a day period.
Grappling with it myself, as I do not think this way.

But the day according to God begins with evening time when the darkness comes, not at 12:01 AM like our days do.
When the sun goes down, the day ends.

5 God called the light Day, and the darkness He called Night. [b]So the evening and the morning were the first day.

God counts days starting new at twilight when the darkness comes. And not related to the sun cycle. His days are determined differently.

Sun and Moon were created on 4th day.

That is what I get from it.

Aren't you saying that the 3 hours of darkness should be considered a "night", and the few minutes or whatever of light following the darkness, before the sunset, is a "day"?

And you don't see the issue with that?

Much love!

You referring to 3 days and 3 nights in the tomb? I just put it out there to account for another day.

Jewish Calendar Date

When G‑d created time, He first created night and then day. Therefore, a Jewish calendar date begins with the night beforehand. While a day in the secular calendar begins and ends at midnight, a Jewish day goes from nightfall to nightfall. Shabbat begins on Friday night, and a yahrtzeit lamp is kindled the evening before the yahrtzeit (anniversary of a person's passing), before nightfall. If the 10th of Iyar falls on a Wednesday, and a child is born Wednesday night after dark, the child's birthday is the 11th of Iyar.

Jesus, Lamb of God had to die on Passover. So can not have been Thursday like many were saying on that thread.
3 days, and 3 nights in the heart of earth, then rise on the 3rd day is what is taught.

Yeah, and following the wisdom of devils does not work out real much
Trolling much?

Do you understand about "wisdom's children"?

This is to say that when you reach the right conclusion, what follows serves to substantiate that it was in fact the right conclusion.

Much love!

Yes, the wisdom you espouse is not from the Lord.

It is the wisdom of men that comes from devils.

Enjoy your different gospel trolling

Ephesians 4:11-16 KJV
11) And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
12) For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
13) Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:
14) That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;
15) But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:
16) From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.

Much love!
