A daily true horror story, I have no idea about God's judgement regarding the Israeli violence in Gaza, I only know that these things are foretold and chose to be a bystander how things will evolve without judgement or choosing sides, watching the horror. God has unfinished business with Israel and I better not touch it how He is going to handle Israel. However we do know several things from Scripture about unfulfilled prophecies.

Zach 12:2 “Behold, I am about to make Jerusalem a cup of staggering to all the surrounding peoples. The siege of Jerusalem will also be against Judah.
Zach 12:3 On that day I will make Jerusalem a heavy stone for all the peoples. All who lift it will surely hurt themselves. And all the nations of the earth will gather against it.

If I have to take the world all literal it will mean that eventually even the USA will turn against Israel.

The Coming Day of the LORD
Zach 14:1 Behold, a day is coming for the LORD, when the spoil taken from you will be divided in your midst.
Zach 14:2 For I will gather all the nations against Jerusalem to battle, and the city shall be taken and the houses plundered and the women raped. Half of the city shall go out into exile, but the rest of the people shall not be cut off from the city.
Zach 14:3 Then the LORD will go out and fight against those nations as when he fights on a day of battle.
Zach 14:4 On that day his feet shall stand on the Mount of Olives that lies before Jerusalem on the east, and the Mount of Olives shall be split in two from east to west by a very wide valley, so that one half of the Mount shall move northward, and the other half southward.
Zach 14:5 And you shall flee to the valley of my mountains, for the valley of the mountains shall reach to Azal. And you shall flee as you fled from the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah. Then the LORD my God will come, and all the holy ones with him.
Zach 14:6 On that day there shall be no light, cold, or frost.

As far as I know Mount of Olives hasn't split into 2 parts, thus Zach 14 speaks about Jesus return.

Mount of Olives is most interesting, Jesus will return on the exact same place as He ascended to Heaven

Acts 1:12 Then they returned to Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is near Jerusalem, a Sabbath day's journey away.

I agree with your first paragraph, that we should be careful of judging Israel and that God is judge of His people. I see Israel's government as having a duty to protect its people and nation....and as Paul wrote about governments of this world, they are God's ministers in a way, in the sense of executing His judgment, and they do not bear the sword for nothing. This reminds me of how He used Israel to judge the Canaanites once their sins had come to the full. And the fullness of their sins appear to have been fully exposed on Oct. 7 with the heinous and cruel things they did to Israelis and their children. But I think it is like a merry-go-round of judgment.....Israel was having that idolatrous festival the day that Hamas invaded. The only way off that horrible merry-go-round of judgment for both sides, is in and through Christ.

But those Zechariah prophecies already came to pass in 70AD with the destruction of Jerusalem. Jesus did return to them in His wrath....He "visited" them in His wrath, the wrath of the Lamb, and He provided a way of safety and escape through the valley for those faithful, mostly Jewish faithful believers who had not succumbed to the apostasy. Jerusalem and the Temple had become a truly horrible and abominable mess of apostasy by then, involved in idol worship and rites associated with that. The Roman army eventually came against it, and that army was composed of men from all the nations in its vast empire at the time......the beast turning on Mystery Babylon.

And sadly, I believe it is soon to happen one last time..... according to that same pattern. Solomon wrote, "what has been will be again, there is nothing new under the sun".........Mystery Babylon will be judged double......"double unto her double". Israel is getting set to rebuild the Temple that God destroyed, and double down on her rejection of Christ essentially, and make the Temple into a horrible mixture of uniting all faiths and beliefs and idolatries supposedly in the name of God once again....it will be a false peace and false unity...a counterfeit to the gospel. And once again, it will involve many Christians who succumb to that strong deception. Once again Jesus will provide deliverance for those who remain faithful to Him and the true gospel, those who survive the persecution (for those who are martyred their deliverance is through death...they will not have to live through that horrible time of judgment.)

His latest dog and pony show of calling out the SA president was a case of the pot calling the kettle black. Trump is very good at using his high position to get what he wants. God's word is always proved so true....there is none righteous, no not one. At different times and in different places oppressors oppress and then the oppressed oppress when they have the chance. That seems to be the story and state of this fallen world and its merry-go-round, sadly...never ending power struggles and everyone looking out for their own.

Yes I think it wouldn't be too surprising if Trump will use his position to try and put some deals together for American companies to mine South African resources.

There is an old true saying is that the solution to one problem is often the beginning of another. Even scarier if the people in charge believe the ends justify the means.

God is waiting for transgression to come to the full, before finally judging it all. As in Daniel, and as we have the example of the Canaanites. Seeing how pervasive the trafficking and exploitation of women and children by elites and celebrities is now, how much it is going on, the sickness of it all and the grip they have on people and things, and the scope of its network, it's hard not to think transgression of our civilization is coming to the full in our time.

This is just my speculation and wonderings, trying to make sense of things the Lord has shown me....... but I'm wondering if God is using Trump to judge these things, to judge "Babylon", ie, judge the formerly Christian civilization that has become so fallen and heinously sinful, marking the end of the times of the Gentiles......but that it is going to lead to another problem and deception having to do with Israel and their Temple.

The only thing that gives me any comfort in these terrible times is knowing without a shadow of a doubt that God is fully in control of these things that are gong on. I see Him as a mighty warrior riding in a chariot pulled by a team of very huge powerful and wild horses, but He is stronger and more powerful than they, and He is steering and controlling those wildly galloping horses. He is watching over His word to perform it, bringing and drawing history to its final conclusion as He has foretold it.

And looking at Daniel, we see the last straw for Babylon that was the catalyst for judgment was involving the vessels of God in Babylon's feasting and partying, ie, sin and uncleanness. Is that what we're seeing with Trump's Christian spiritual advisors? Mixing of church and state and dirty politics.

It might have been......myself I can't keep up with and decipher everything in the world of politics, so can't verify or agree/disagree one way or the other on a lot of things. However, I can say I've talked with white South Africans who have told me there is systemic racism and crime against whites there ever since the end of Apartheid, which the mostly black authorities there turn a blind eye to. Didn't even know this was happening in the Congo too. Maybe someone gave Trump the wrong photos/videos, nevertheless it is true that those things are happening in South Africa from what I've heard over the years as well as more recently.

I agree, but many saw an opportunity in this country that Mexico didn't offer. Look at all the Mexican owned businesses everywhere. More money to be made in the USA than Mexico. The standard of living is higher.

I have been to Mexico many times in the 1970's and 1980's. Border towns, in different places, between Texas and Arizona. Stores galore and multi-level shopping malls. Grocery stores and drug stores. They have fallen to the cartels and had to move. These were business people. The majority back then, coming over, was for farming. Ronald Reagan famously gave amnesty to over a million.
