Don't learn to know good and evil. Learn God's word. Only God's word is good. And learn to endure anything.

One thing that I find interesting is Adam and Eve realized they are naked after having eaten from the tree, then they were ashamed. Yet as depravity increases a people become shameless.

And there is also a problem with calling good evil, and evil good.

So is eating the knowledge of good and evil really an ongoing problem? Or is that just original sin that makes us rebellious?

just a real quick question my friend .
THE moment they ate of the tree , the tree GOD said not too , that was REBELLION TO GOD
and while its true their eyes were opened , they rebelled the moment the lips hit that fruit.
And death came upon them and all . I got good news though, and its what i so often love to remind all
about my friend . THERE IS A SOLUTOIN .
YES . THERE IS A NAME .
A name whereby one may be saved .
Now its not budda , or the mulism god , or any other religoins god .
HIS NAME JESUS and i must admit its high time the church got real busy
reminding all of the aboslute dire need to BELIEVE ON HIM
to get in the bible to learn for themselves .
cause WHILE ITS VERY TRUE JESUS saves . another jesus cannot . No that is a jesus invented by satan
and clever wise men who love sin and thus produce another image of WHAT they so desire to believe IS JESUS . only IT AINT .
May i suggest to all who name the name OF JESUS that we all get back into the bible to learn of Him for our selves .

I am generally very careful to not read into scripture passages that I am reading anything else. And that Adam and Eve were ashamed of their being naked after eating the fruit they should not have is not there in the text. Go ahead and look for it. They were afraid, and that which was meant was for good reason. God would be against them, for they had gone against God with what they chose to do. So they hid in bushes. They somehow had leaves they put on themselves. Could they sew those on? I do not know how. I could not do that, probably not if my life depended on it. I suspect there is fault in the translation. But putting leaves on themselves may have been thought to be good with hiding in the bushes.

I do not know from texts that they were ever ashamed of nakedness. That is characteristic of many in our modern culture. So it is easy for some in this culture to read shame of nakedness into text where it is not really said.

I do think God's design was perfect. Nothing else in the Bible was called Very Good by God.

The concept of nakedness being shameful is established elsewhere in the bible. And when we go back and look at Adam and Eve in light of those other verses I am certain a greater understanding can be had.

You are welcome to show me the passages clearly showing that, in proper context, without our cultural values today imposed on those. My point though was that there is not text saying our original ancestors Adam and Eve were ashamed then of their nakedness. It does say they were afraid, and we can understand why. They had acted in rebellion to what God told them. The false promise they had been given had not happened. They were not as gods. What they saw was that they were not so different from some of the animals. There are other things not said. God is Creator, and can make anything. But to give them skins, it is not said that God made a sacrifice killing any animal, to provide those, and a covering for their sins. That is imposed with what some claim. Such is what I am wary of. I will go with what texts really say, faithfully rendered from the original writing. There is nothing showing Adam's and Eve's sin was covered in any way. And they would be only from Jesus Christ, with their repentant faith. This is said for the ones with faith in the times of the old testament.
