God’s Elect — The Two Witnesses Are a Symbolic Body, Not Two Individuals

The Two Witnesses in Revelation are not two literal people but symbolically represent God's Elect — the faithful remnant empowered by the Holy Ghost to preach the Gospel throughout the world since the Cross (Luke 24:47–49; Acts 1:8). These are the same faithful witnesses described in Revelation 11:3, prophesying in sackcloth — a symbol of mourning for our sins, and the sins of others hoping that people will receive Gospel and be saved — during the symbolic 1,260 days, representing the church age (Revelation 11:3; Revelation 12:6,14).

This Elect body includes all who are sealed by God, spiritually numbered as the symbolic 144,000 in Revelation 7:1–4 — a figure representing the completeness and totality of God’s chosen people, drawn from every nation, including Old Testament Saints (cf. Revelation 5:9–10, Revelation 14:1–5). Their testimony of salvation, powered by the Spirit, continues until every one of them is sealed (Matthew 24:14; John 17:20; 2 Timothy 2:10).

After this sealing is complete, Scripture declares that the Beast will “make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them” (Revelation 11:7). This is not a physical killing, but wage spiritual war against the Elect with lying signs and wonders as a tool of silence their faithful testimony — as the Beast (false religious systems) and the False Prophet use lying signs and wonders to draw people into deception and apostasy (2 Thessalonians 2:9–12; Matthew 24:24; Revelation 13:13–14).

This apostasy brings about a spiritual desolation in the Church — echoing Christ’s warning of the “abomination of desolation” standing in the holy place (Matthew 24:15), which refers to false doctrines and counterfeit gospels invading the visible church, leading many astray (2 Peter 2:1–3; Revelation 2:20–23).

Thus, the Elect — the true body of faithful witnesses — are spiritually "killed" in the sense that their voice is silenced in the public sphere, and their message is rejected, as the Church becomes overrun by deception, until God vindicates His people by calling them to come out of unfaithful church as God judges her (Revelation 18).

Sigh. Listen… buying and selling WHAT in Revelation 13? That is the real question!

Allow me to explain—if you have spiritual ears to hear:

Revelation 3:18
(18) "I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see."

Astounding, isn’t it? Yet it seems you’ve ignored every Scripture I’ve shared in this thread. If you truly listened, you wouldn’t still be clinging to such shallow, earthly interpretations.

God is NOT talking about literal gold or physical wealth we need to buy. The “gold tried in the fire” represents the pure Gospel that brings salvation. It is a spiritual rich to His Church! This is part of the spiritual “merchandise” entrusted to God’s true servants—His merchants (Elect)—who go out into the world to “sell” it to the unsaved, so they may “buy” it (be saved). Selah!

This spiritual buying and selling continued until all the elect are secured by the testimony of Two Witnesses. THEN as the church started to grows more unfaithful thanks to the "rise of false prophets and christs" of Matthew 24. The professing Christians begin “buying” the FALSE DOCTRINES from these false prophets and false christs! And they decided to sell it instead of true merchants of Gospel! This is how they spiritually received the mark on their right hand or forehead, IN ORDER TO BUY AND SELL FALSE DOCTRINES! This is how the mark of the beast works—not through credit cards, Google pay or mobile payments, but through participation and agreement in a counterfeit gospel or lying signs and wonders that mimic the True that almost deceive the Elect if its possible.

And once the false doctrine takes hold of the unfaithful church, that pretty much silences the faithful testimony, the church has transformed SPIRITUALLY into Babylon the Great! That is why the faithful merchants flee from her and mourn over her because no man can longer buy their merchandise of the Salvation Gospel! All of the merchandises of Babylon the Great is gone! She is spiritually naked! Spiritually POOR! This is the judgment of the whore that the Faithful merchants will "see" and flee to avoid partaking of God's judgment because the church as become spiritually what is called Sodom and Egypt. See the "gold" here? Remember Revelation 3:18 quoted at the top? From the beginning, we—the church—were the merchants of the earth, bringing the Gospel (symbolized by this list of spiritual “goods” including gold, in verses 12 and 13) to the world. This is how we were spiritually rich in Christ through the Church! But when the faithful witnesses are silenced and overcome by false prophets, no one buys the Gospel anymore. Instead, they trade in lies and counterfeit salvation - the buying and selling of the Beast! This is how the woman got spiritually naked, her flesh eaten, and burned with fire when God allows the army of the false prophets and christs (aka Gog and Magog) to come in to destroy because of who she once represented!

Have you already forgotten that the judgment must take place in God's House, the Church! Not Walmart, Amazon, or your local grocery store or silly carnal-based interpretations to make any false doctrine sound more exciting based on what you see in the news! Please!
