Matthew 7:36...Rejection was yet to come! such news could be counter productive. Same advice given to his disciples Math 16v20 Connection!!!
Friend, Matthew chapter 7, have only 29 verses.
Also the rejection and counter productive disturbance was already there since the beginning but no man could do anything to Him nor His ministry for 3 years.
Since the beginning as a child, Herod already sort to kill Him, since prophetically the priests read to Herod about this child. And Herod desperately ordered to have children 2 years below to be killed, just imagine the chaos.
At 30 years of age. He went into the synagogue and read the Messianic scripture referring to Him. In rage they caught Him to throw Him off the cliff, but He miraculously escaped, and rage been there ever since.
Many times He escaped and moved from one place to another and returned back, and they could not do anything to Him, since His hour has not yet come.
He is already the popular person and talking subject of the town, and the disciples explained to Him, what the public think of Him.
Jesus also stirred the controversial division between the Jews about who He is, even without proclaiming He's the Messiah.
Even if the disciples proclaim to the public He's the Messiah, the same nothing can happen to Him if He's hour has not yet come.
Moreover He already went on a spree to rebuke and correct the Sanhedrin council members, quite severely in Matthew ch. 23.
You have a point there, but i believe there's some other reason based on the context of the story, thank you.
