I'm not really sure where to ask this. There are certain people that will talk to me and be totally normal and then suddenly look totally afraid and try to leave really fast.

I can only come up with a few ideas.

a) They're seeing something I'm not.
b) Some of them are meth users and I used a word that triggered them. (Since I don't always speak from myself and I speak from the Holy Spirit, like many Christians, and I think drugs open doors to demons and paranoia, I think that is probably likely.) But they've talked to me hundreds of times already.
c) They're being weird.
d) This is a Midwest thing. Like when I ask if they want one thing or another and instead of saying a direct answer, they say, "oh, yeah, no, that's fine" and now I have to figure out which option that means.

But there have been a couple of times where people who have seen me hundreds of times have stared for a minutes like they've seen something unfamiliar, but I am as plain and ordinary in my regular life as they come. One of those is a Christian, and I know for a fact she's not a user. I don't tell anyone in my life about anything they don't need to know.

It's really starting to bother me because I can't figure out what's going on.

I must admit that I've experienced something similar, and I probably do it frequently. :)

Beside the way I always dress (maxi skirts/dresses, and cover my head), i believe that someone more or less unconscious, sense that i have something that they lack inside of them, as they watch the radiance from The Holy Spirit within me.

I did the same years ago. I needed to fit in with the world to work, but would still cover in church. I had a normal upbringing but converted in adulthood, so I understand your convictions.

I think your right and it's possible that's it, but I also know there's a drug problem here. Maybe God just doesn't want the wrong people around me.

Maybe, or/and i know that all kinds of drugs are demonic, so when the drug addicts use the drugs, they are influenced by demonic forces, which recognize those who are true followers of The Lord?

Yes, I think that might be it. They look "freaked out" for a minute mid convo and go quickly, but Christian lady just seemed like she was taken back by something, but probably not me in particular since she already knew me and I wasn't really doing anything of interest.

It probably isn't a big deal, but it's kind of in a funny way, reflecting on it is like what is wrong with everybody and nobody has just stepped up and explained it.

Second guessing others only creates problems in your own head and well worth getting a handle on. If they are second guessing you, addressing it with them if they are open to it is one way of getting some sort of clarity. Either way Fluffy, let your yes be yes and your no be no.

Could I ask why this is even a concern for you? Be you and live your life. What other people think or how they behave is not yours to control so why even spend this much time thinking about it?

Because I overthink @nedsk

You're asking the person who just spent five hours analyzing an entire setup for put two 2 QT slow cookers on the counter complete with a spoon rest and silicone mat, and then will spend another week (or 3) planning meals just so they can feed their family and eat late after work, and technically, that probably took WAY too long to figure out for real, but its done now.

I overanalyze things to a fault because my brain is curious and has to find ways to solve problems.

I don't have a real answer that's a benefit to anyone

@nedsk I don't know if you've ever read Women are from Venus, Men are from Mars, or whatever it is, but one true statement is men and women are not the same, and women talk not to be fixed, but to be understood or breathe. Sometimes, they don't even know how they feel sometimes until they talk about it.

It doesn't need to be totally logical, but it just is what it is.

It's ok I was just wondering. Yeah I have family members that are like that. I see the struggle they go through but I remind them our

I was just wondering. I have family that does that. I remind them we experience out thoughts but we are not our thoughts and our thoughts are not us. It's like rain experience the rain and even get wet but we are not the rain. Same with thoughts.

I agree it just is what it is. Someone told me yesterday, what else do I have to do but try.
