Parents with large families were selling their children to survive another day at one point. They couldn't do it then and we can't do it now. Does not being Catholic make me a Democrat?

I see where you're coming from on contraception. I have a bit of a different stance on this since many forms of contraception cause an existing pregnancy to abort. I guess it depends ... abstinence is best ....but parents need to step up and train up the children in the way they should go. Give them plenty of godly teaching, love, encouragement, stability, fun, .responsibilities, etc ...so they aren't out in the world looking for somewhere to belong, someone to love them, etc, and get into trouble.

There are maybe a couple forms of contraception that aren't harmful to the body, and do not cause pregnancies to abort.

Of course, this thread isn't about contraception. But it's bound to come up. lol

PS ....I always wanted 20+ children all the way back from when I myself was just a 10 yr old. You know my history. By the time I was 10, I had been impregnated (rape) and was subjected to forced late term abortion/s. I felt so much guilt because no matter how much I tried, I couldn't resist pushing my baby out, and I knew they would k.ll my baby. (They gave me something orally to cause contractions. )

So I dreamed of growing up and getting married and having LOTS of babies, and adopting all the abandoned and abused babies and children in the entire world! ;(
