Amen. And New Jerusalem is a heavenly city, ie, spiritual, not earthly. "New" and "renew" in scripture signifies being made spiritual, like our new man is a spiritual man, whereas our old man is earthly. I don't consider that it is a literal city, but symbolic of what we were "born" of, heavenly Zion, the Spirit of God, and what we are now citizens of (God's heavenlyh kingdom) as opposed to our natural earthly birth and being citizens of an earthly nation or city.
God says He will dwell in Zion Psalm 132:32
He won't be dwelling on this world., not of the world is His throne and kingdom
God says He will rebuild the tabernacle of David, not the temple worship system of Solomon, (Ezekiel's Temple, animal sacrifices, renewed Judaism). which the dispensationalists promote.
When David had the ark in His tent, there was no dividing curtain to the Holy of Holies, as was present in Solomon's temple
The way to the Prescence of God was open, even to the gentiles.
When God struck UZZAH reaching to stabilize the ark, it went to the house of Obededom, a gentile farmer, whom God then blesses greatly.
You can read what the Tabernacle of Davis was about in 2 Samual 6, which the apostles in Acts 15 teach us about for the gentiles.
Psalm 132
Lord, remember David
And all his afflictions;
2 How he swore to the Lord,
And vowed to the Mighty One of Jacob:
3 “Surely I will not go into the chamber of my house,
Or go up to the comfort of my bed;
4 I will not give sleep to my eyes
Or slumber to my eyelids,
5 Until I find a place for the Lord,
A dwelling place for the Mighty One of Jacob.”
6 Behold, we heard of it in Ephrathah;
We found it in the fields of [
a]the woods.
7 Let us go into His tabernacle;
Let us worship at His footstool.
8 Arise, O Lord, to Your resting place,
You and the ark of Your strength.
9 Let Your priests be clothed with righteousness,
And let Your saints shout for joy.
10 For Your servant David’s sake,
Do not turn away the face of Your [
b]Anointed.
11 The Lord has sworn
in truth to David;
He will not turn from it:
“I will set upon your throne the [
c]fruit of your body.
12 If your sons will keep My covenant
And My testimony which I shall teach them,
Their sons also shall sit upon your throne forevermore.”
13 For the Lord has chosen Zion;
He has desired it for His [d]dwelling place:
14 “This
is My resting place forever;
Here I will dwell, for I have desired it.
15 I will abundantly bless her [
e]provision;
I will satisfy her poor with bread.
16 I will also clothe her priests with salvation,
And her saints shall shout aloud for joy.
17 There I will make the [
f]horn of David grow;
I will prepare a lamp for My [
g]Anointed.
18 His enemies I will clothe with shame,
But upon Himself His crown shall flourish.”
ACTS 15
12 Then all the multitude kept silent and listened to Barnabas and Paul declaring how many miracles and wonders God had worked through them among the Gentiles. 13 And after they had [
c]become silent, James answered, saying, “Men
and brethren, listen to me: 14 Simon has declared how God at the first visited the Gentiles to take out of them a people for His name. 15 And with this the words of the prophets agree, just as it is written:
16
‘After this I will return
And will rebuild the tabernacle of David, which has fallen down;
I will rebuild its ruins,
And I will set it up;
17
So that the rest of mankind may seek the Lord,
Even all the Gentiles who are called by My name,
Says the [d]Lord who does all these things.’

e]“Known to God from eternity are all His works. 19 Therefore I judge that we should not trouble those from among the Gentiles who are turning to God, 20 but that we write to them to abstain from things polluted by idols,
from [
f]sexual immorality,
from things strangled, and
from blood. 21 For Moses has had throughout many generations those who preach him in every city, being read in the synagogues every Sabbath.”
