I can ALMOST assure you that YOU are following the teachings of men....
but I don't know you enough.
WHICH core doctrines would those be?
As usual,,,you're forgetting about Ephesians 2:10
Very convenient.
The NT teaches salvation by faith alone
and it stops there.
For sanctification to happen...we must work in cooperation with God
to obey Him and to help Him bring about his Kingdom on earth...also known as the Kingdom of God.
See.
I told you that you were following the teachings of man.
FAITH ALONE is a non-biblical teaching that began with the Reformation/Calvinist belief system that
DID NOT EXIST in the early church...
that would be the church at the time of the Apostles and some time afterward.
Let me make this perfectly clear for you:
CHRIST IS NOT SACRIFICED AT THE MASS.
He is REMEMBERED...as if we were standing at the foot of the cross.
Yes sir.
And this is what the CC teaches.
Here we agree....I have said that the CC ADDS to scripture.
As do all denominations.
Do you know a perfect one?
This would be a rather long conversation,,,so I'll skip it.
Let's just say that infants were baptized in the early church...
but not for the reason you may think.
Yes. This is the gospel and is what the CC teaches.
And aren't you happy that the CC kept gnosticism out of the early church and preserved this gospel for you?
I believe LET THEM BE ACCURSED would bode better for those that came along in the 1500's and taught all manner of incorrect doctrine.
Yes sir.
This is what the CC teaches.
Catholicism is not the gospel of Jesus Christ. It is
a gospel of man-made traditions, in direct opposition to the Bible. You can defend it all you want, but God’s Word cuts through every excuse.
It preaches salvation by faith plus works, yet the Bible says: “For by grace are ye saved through faith… not of works, lest any man should boast” (Ephesians 2:8–9). Works come after salvation, but they never earn it.
It elevates the pope and tradition, but Scripture alone makes us complete: “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God… that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works” (2 Timothy 3:16–17).
It repeats the sacrifice of Christ in the Mass, but Hebrews says: “This man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God” (Hebrews 10:12). One sacrifice was enough.
It prays to Mary and the saints, yet the Bible says: “There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus” (1 Timothy 2:5). Any other mediator is a lie.
It imagines purgatory, but Scripture declares: “It is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment” (Hebrews 9:27). No second chance.
And it baptizes infants, while the Bible commands: “Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ” (Acts 2:38). Repentance must come before baptism, and infants cannot repent.
The gospel is clear: “Christ died for our sins… he was buried, and… he rose again the third day according to the scriptures” (1 Corinthians 15:3–4). Anything that adds to this or twists this is, in Paul’s words, “another gospel” — and he said, “let him be accursed” (Galatians 1:9).
So let’s be clear.
Catholicism is not the true gospel.
It is a counterfeit. The only way to be saved is by turning from sin and trusting in Jesus Christ alone, because “the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin” (1 John 1:7). You need to
repent and come to know Jesus as the truth.
“Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition” (Mark 7:13).
