lol.. I am not arguing, I am just posting ALL the words of God in john 6, and not just 6 f the words f God.

You accuse me of rejecting the word of God. Yet you will not even discuss it.

Again, You hurt yourself. The more you talk. The more you refuse to answer my questions about the words of Jesus in John 6. The more unbelievable you are.

and the more you prove you are spoon fed by men. And are following them, and not the word of God
You can't show you have the authoritative understanding of scripture and you can't show any evidence of anyone in the church teaching what you believe before the 1500s. I know you whine about history but your beliefs are only 500 years old. For 3x as long as that Christiandom taught Jesus being present in the Eucharist. If you don't like it I don't really care because you present nothing that would make me take you seriously.

its like beating a dead horse.

one thing we know for a fact. @nedsk has shown no authoritative understanding of the book of John. Unlike others who have taken him through the whole conversation and shown ALL the words of Jesus.

@nedsk just wants to look at 7 words.

Then he passes off any authority to some church who ruled with an iron fist. and killed anyone who did nto agree with them, as his proof he is right we are wrong.

I will pray for him..

I don't claim an authoritative understanding of Scripture but God gave me a brain that works and the ability to read. What I do know from using the brain God gave me is people connected to the apostles, who know far more than I do, understood Jesus to be speaking literally in John 6 and those same people defended the church from attacks by people who understand John 6 the way you do. And for 1500 years the church they defended taught and believed Jesus was speaking literally.

Now if you actually believe I would ignore them to listen you without you offering some evidence of a higher understanding other than, because you say so, then you really need to think again.

@Eternally Grateful, who is interpreting the letters of John 2,000 years after they were written, believes that he is right when it comes to the Real Presence in the Eucharist and that a person that actually spoke to and was a student of the Apostle John is wrong about the Real Presence. And then EG has the gall to say that YOU have "shown no authoritative understanding of the book of John" as if EG has an authoritative understanding???? :IDK:

EG and his ilk ignore Ignatius, who actually has an authoritative understanding of John, and then claims a better understanding of John's book than Ignatius......Simply fascinating and a bit pompous. :jest:

Ummmm......me thinks that Ignatius, a student of the Apostle John, would have a more "authoritative understanding" of Johns writings than you EG soooooo there's that little problem you have!

PS..........The Protestant men you adore from 500 years ago ruled with an iron fist also by killing their fellow Protestants and Catholics who did not agree with them sooooooo would you like to address that also?

Niether one of you listen to jesus

You listen to 7 words he says and rejects every other things he said

again, You are not going to sit here and falsly accuse people of doing what you yourself are doing.. that is called hypocrisy.

Own up and respond why you reject what Jesus said
Lol.....YOU are listening to Jesus however YOU reject the teachings of the Apostolic Fathers who were students of the Apostles!! Simply fascinating! @nedsk and I repeat words from Scripture which match up with the words from students of the Apostles and you say that WE are rejecting Jesus words? You put greater value on the words of men from 500 years than the words of men who were students of the Apostles.....I don't get it.

I am going to quote you from one of your pompous posts: Let me try to help you

Clearly @nedsk and I don't need your help. We choose to adhere to Scripture and trust men that actually spoke to the Apostles instead of trusting men like you.

Keeping it real with logic and facts.......Mary

I really don't understand what EG and the others don't get. Some of the church fathers were disciples of the apostles but we're really supposed to ignore them to listen to EG? It's astounding

To put their teachings over men who were students of the Apostles is simply fascinating to me. I really really really really don't understand that thought process.

Keep up the good fight nedsk........Mary

I don't either. And God gave me that same ability.

back to this argument

This argument is weak.. Again, the jews used this argument, Again, use your god given brain and think about what you are saying

the roman empire ruled this earth for 1500 years.

as rulers. they once again, MURDERED, IMPRISONED and DESTROYED any ONE or any THING 9writtings) that did not agree with their theology.

so neither you or I should expect to find any teaching in the last 1500 years that went against roman theology.

Now if you actually believe I would ignore them to listen you without you offering some evidence of a higher understanding other than, because you say so, then you really need to think again.
I do not care who you are or what church you belong to or who you knew

if what you say does not add up to what I am reading in the word of God. I will use my God given brain to read and understand they should not be trusted.

The mere fact you are totally unable to look at my questions. look at them and respond to them. or even go back to your church to get an answer from them to answer my questions.

shows me you are blindly following people who tell you to listen to them and them only

You want to do that feel free.

but if I am ever unable to answer a question. and can not get it from my church.. then I will question my own belief system.

I would suggest you do this

I really don't understand what EG and the others don't get.
why do you not?

we post Jesus words. it is there for ANYONE to see

We read what he said.

We then determine if what he said is true or if it is not.

According to you. Jesus lied.

I do not get why YOU fail to see this??
Some of the church fathers were disciples of the apostles but we're really supposed to ignore them to listen to EG? It's astounding
lol.. And? There were false teachers in the church while the word was still being written.

Look at the disciples who left Jesus and had him crucified.

Just because someone with with someone does nto mean they hold to that persons doctrines.

again, you use an illogical fallacy yet are totally unable to see the flaws in your own teachings. as shown by the fact you can not answer my questions.. and tell me why Jesus lied?

“Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.” (Rom 11:22, KJV)

:IDK:
I don't see where that says the seal of God's Holy Spirit will be retracted and they shall be damned to die in their sins again.
