They got kicked out. Remember the last election?
....and replaced them with someone who has attended satanic rituals, snuff films, and trafficked children himself.... oh, but because he is the god most professing Christians here serve, his evil actions are ignored. You follow the guy who rewarded Maxwell (a convicted sex trafficker) for saying what he wanted/told her to say, to cover his back side.

While you are sitting back, and first off let me say I do NOT support abortion for convenience, or this transgender concept, or any of the things you state in your 2nd paragraph.

HOWEVER Proverbs 29:2 says nothing about God given right to kill others, if your life is not directly threaten, the news at this very time is reporting how an 11 yr old playing a door bell prank, was chased down and MURDERED by an individual that had 20 or more guns in his house.

Now raise up and explain yourself!
2 Kings 6:17 (KJV)
And Elisha prayed, and said, LORD, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the LORD opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.

Why would a Christian need a gun to protect themselves?

You have to watch out for these holier than thou folks, they don’t know the Bible as well as they think they do.

God opened my eyes too and I've seen it. I don't need guns, but most Christians haven't seen what I have, and I try to convince them otherwise. My job is to tell people what God has shown and told me. Christians have a hedge around them and a guardian angel. Christians are to look at the unseen world, for this world is imperfect and temporary.

You completely missed the point. Proverbs 29:2 is not talking about a “God-given right to kill.” It is talking about the plain fact that when the wicked rule the people mourn, but when the righteous rule the people rejoice. That is why more power to a corrupt government is a very bad thing. The Bible clearly states that man is a sinner (Romans 3: 10–12) and that where the wicked have power, freedom and life will be destroyed. That is why self-defense and the defense of the innocent is not murder, it is biblical (Exodus 22:2–3, Nehemiah 4:14, Luke 22:36).

One criminal act doesn’t alter God’s standard. That man with 20 guns was a murderer, and he would have been one with 2 guns, or no guns because his heart was wicked. Cain killed Abel and no firearm was used (Genesis 4:8). The problem is not the tool, it is the heart of man. Evil men will murder with their fists, with knives, with cars, and with guns. Punish the murderer but don’t distort Scripture into thinking that disarming the righteous and empowering a godless state is what God would want.

Since you said, “Now raise up and explain yourself!” So I will, here it is flat-out: The Bible does not support leftist gun grabbing policies. God calls us to protect life, not give all authority to those rulers who mock Him. If you take a stand against that you are not standing on Scripture, you are standing with those who pervert justice.

That’s a pervertsion of Scripture. God gave Elisha supernatural deliverance for that moment in 2 Kings 6: 17, but that doesn’t negate every other passage in the Bible about common sense, physical defense, and responsibility. Jesus Himself told His disciples, “he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one” (Luke 22:36). It wasn’t for hunting, it was for protection. Nehemiah had the people build with one hand while holding a weapon in the other because of the threat of the enemy (Nehemiah 4:17–18). Exodus 22:2–3 says if a thief breaks in at night and you strike him and he dies, you are not guilty of blood.

Yes, God can and does send His angels to protect His people. But He also tells us to be watchful (1 Thessalonians 5: 6) to provide for our households (1 Timothy 5:8), to stand up and resist evil (Matthew 5:39; 1 Peter 3:9). Pretending that trusting God means you throw out all means of self-defense isn’t biblical, it’s foolish. The same Bible that records Elisha’s miracle also records David killing Goliath, Samson striking down Philistines, and believers being commanded to arm themselves.

The “holier than thou” attitude is actually claiming you’re more spiritual for ignoring what the Bible really says. Faith trusts God’s protection, but it also obeys His commands to act wisely and responsibly. God opens eyes through His Word, not through selective proof-texting. Try reading the whole bible, not just the parts you like.

You’re more earthly minded than me. I don’t have one thing in this world to worry about. I don’t need Trump or guns to protect me.

If God doesn’t protect me then that means he chose not to protect me. I’ll take the good or the bad because all things work together for good to them that love God.

It’s impossible for me to lose.

If God doesn’t protect me

The NT teaches that if you dont supply for your own family......and that means protect them....then you are worse then an "infidel".

Maybe you didint get the memo.

Listen.... = All the Apostles were murdered, other then John.
And rignt now, in this world, there are many Missionaries who are being killed today.

So, that is not "Well, God forgot to protect them".........that is........you have no real understanding of many things, and not just regarding the Jews.

Here is the update.
If you have a wife, and children, and the bad people come into your home and you dive under the bed, to pray......instead of protecting your family, then you are "worse then an infidel".. = Paul teaches.

Gum ownership in this evil world, is SMART.

Then stop butchering scripture to make it sound spiritual and avoiding what it actually says. The Word of God commands His people to be wise and to provide for and protect one another. To say "I don't need guns or leaders" doesn't make you more godly, it makes you a cherry-picker of verses who ignores the rest. Jesus instructed His disciples to buy a sword (Luke 22:36). Nehemiah had his people carry weapons as they worked because enemies were a reality (Nehemiah 4:17–18). Exodus 22 allows for defending your home from a thief. You can't just strike those passages out of existence because they don't fit your "there is nothing to worry about" slogan. Faith is not foolishness. Trusting God is believing all of His Word, not acting like He didn't say what He did say.

Satan told Jesus, “If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down” from the pinnacle of the temple, quoting Psalm 91 about angels’ protection (Matthew 4:6). Jesus answered with Scripture: “It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God” (Matthew 4:7). He was quoting Deuteronomy 6:16, which says, “Ye shall not tempt the LORD your God, as ye tempted him in Massah.”

So the Bible warns us not to “test” or “tempt” God—meaning, not to put Him on trial by demanding He prove Himself, twisting His promises, or acting recklessly while expecting Him to bail us out. True faith obeys His Word, it doesn’t try to manipulate Him.

Tempting God means putting Him to the test, demanding proof of His power, twisting His promises, or living recklessly in unbelief while expecting Him to rescue you. Jesus refused to do it, Israel was judged for it, and believers are warned against it.

You said, “You’re more earthly minded than me.” No, I think it’s the opposite. You act like you’re super spiritual, but in reality you don’t even believe what the Bible actually says. Instead of submitting to Scripture, you’ve made up your own version of faith that exists only in your imagination, not in the Word of God. Real faith obeys God’s Word, not just feelings or slogans.

I wouldn’t consider faith in God for all things is considered tempting God.

I witnessed this first hand many times. During Covid the hospital was doing their very best kill my mom and dad and would have had I not stepped in. I didn’t use a gun nor did I physically touch any of the staff. In fact the Lord changed the doctors heart when I begged him to not put my parents on Remdesivir and give them convalescent antibodies and ivermectin instead.

They tried to kill them and they couldn’t do it because the Lord protected them.

Beautiful ❤️ ....and yet, I wouldn't call those who have faith even unto death any less protected. Eventually, many will be called to stand in the face of death and many of those will give their lives for their faith in Christ ...and countless many have already.

I agree with your stance regarding defending the innocent, especially one's family/children. And yet, I believe God looks at our faith, too. We have to be able to hear His voice in a split second. Would you be able to hear His voice if you were about to put a hole into an intruder and He said, "Put down your gun and speak the name of Jesus"? Maybe God allowed a circumstance that brought someone to you who needed to hear the Gospel. It could go either way.

You’re putting words in my mouth. I never said “faith in God for all things is tempting God.” What I said is what the Bible itself says, that we are not to tempt God. There’s a difference. Faith trusts and obeys His Word. Tempting God means twisting His promises, acting recklessly, or demanding that He prove Himself. That’s exactly what Satan tried to get Jesus to do in Matthew 4:6–7, and Jesus answered with Scripture: “Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.”

Trusting God is never tempting Him. But ignoring the parts of His Word that command wisdom and preparation while claiming “God will handle it” is presumption, not faith. That’s why God gave His people clear instructions about defense and protection. Jesus told His disciples to buy a sword (Luke 22:36). Nehemiah had his people work with a weapon in one hand because enemies were a real threat (Nehemiah 4:17–18). The law even allowed for defending your home if a thief broke in at night (Exodus 22:2).

Faith means believing all of God’s Word, not picking the verses that fit a personal story and dismissing the rest. God can intervene directly, but He also commands His people to act wisely and responsibly. True faith submits to Scripture in full.

Your story about the hospital shows God’s mercy, but that doesn’t cancel out what Scripture actually says. Nobody needs to carry a gun into a hospital. If you don’t trust their treatment, you can refuse it and walk out. That’s wisdom. But Exodus 22:2 deals with a thief breaking into your home at night when you cannot just walk away. These passages I showed you aren’t about hospitals, they’re about real threats you can’t escape.

Faith doesn’t mean ignoring those commands or twisting them into something else. True faith believes all of God’s Word, not just the parts that fit a personal story. God can intervene directly, but He also calls His people to act with wisdom and obedience. Ignoring that is not more spiritual, it’s selective faith.

I wonder why two swords were enough in Luke 22? That should be a sign as to what Jesus meant. Especially since just a few hours later Jesus said “Put up again Thy sword into his place: for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword.

So in your opinion why is Jesus saying to go buy a sword and then a couple hours later he warns against using the sword?

Sometimes its just enough to drop a few shot gun shells on the table in the entrance way of your home, or signs that say, I shoot first ask questions later, or have a pit bull as a pet, or just to be holding an AK47 with an empty magazine. Sometimes it acts as a deterant, without ever having to use them. Its not as though a gang of home invaders who rushed into your home know you will most likely not shoot them.

Its like carrying a sword (and even pulling it from your sheath so to speak) but not actually striking another with it.

They were going to fight a spiritual war so Jesus, speaking in parables, told them they needed this sword.

Heb 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Apparently Peter didn’t understand the parable.

That was one of the first things I attempted to fit into it, especially when comparing spiritual things with spiritual seeing the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but I was never convinced of the two swords being the single twoedged sword.

That’s how God hides things from the wisdom of world and reveals to those who are seeking the truth.

The number two in the Bible usually points to grace (New Testament, 2nd Testament) or the word of God (cloven tongues in Acts). The Bible is an amazing book!

The Bible is written in such a way that you can understand all doctrines 100% right or you can be lead down the “works salvation” road or the “I need guns” road.

Basically the Bible gives enough rope that it will hang everyone not seeking the truth. Hence all the crazy theologies in corporate “Christianity”.
