I have seen maps and predictions of something similar several times. with out the religion aspect.

Sounds like a vision of the great worldwide earthquake.
"And there were noises and thunderings and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such a mighty and great earthquake as had not occurred since men were on the earth." Rev. 16:18
As strong as churches are made, you can bet all buildings collapse during this one. We won't be present in the church when it does happen. My guess as to the crack through the USA is a physical fissure starting in Yellowstone -( a super -volcan); will likely be part of this Great earthquake

Revelation 16:18, it should speak of Great turmoil upon the earth. The Greek Root word "Seismos" wherever it is found in the New Testament only has the understanding/meaning of "turmoil".
On the other hand, the Greek Root word G:4579 speaks of earthquakes where its meaning embraces rocks shaking and splitting.
What we are seeing around the world is an increase in turmoil among the people and nations, and this turmoil is causing people to turn away from God and the "Church" is being devastated and collapsing where the "Chruch Buildings" now have the appearance of a Building that has had its foundations shaken such that there is nothing left but rubble in its place.
Revelation 16:20 tells us this: -
Revelation 10: - Then every island, i.e. nation, fled, and no mountain, i.e. religion, could be found.
The seventh bowl judgement is what we are presently living through at the moment.
It is a time for God's Saints to Humble Themselves and repent and fall upon God's Mercy and Grace for our Salvation.
