“O foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you?” (Galatians 3:1). Paul’s words pierce the lies of religion based on human effort. The Galatians had begun in faith but had slipped into adding works to their salvation. We see the same today: men and women trust in Christ, then turn to church ceremonies, traditions, or their own religious performance to try to gain acceptance with God.

Scripture bluntly asks: “Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?” (Galatians 3:2). The answer is clear: none. Not one of them was saved by trying to keep rules and regulations. Not one was forgiven by checking off a list of boxes. Salvation was by hearing the gospel and believing it. Romans 10: 17 is straightforward, “Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”

Paul adds, “Having begun in the Spirit, are you now being made perfect by the flesh?” (Galatians 3:3). To be more direct: if life began in the Spirit through hearing and believing, why would anyone try to be made perfect by fleshly effort? To depend on works after receiving God’s grace is to blaspheme the cross of Christ. Galatians 2: 21 states, “If righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.”

Instead, the Word turns us to Abraham: “In the same manner also Abraham believed God, and it was counted to him for righteousness” (Galatians 3:6). And here’s the truth to which we must cling: “So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham” (Galatians 3:9). It is not those who work the hardest who are God’s children, but those who believe God’s promise.

The world will tell you faith isn’t enough, that you have to add something to Jesus’ finished work. It’s the same old lie Paul called bewitching. But the Word of God is firm: salvation is by grace through faith, not of works, so that no one can boast (Ephesians 2:8–9).

Are you living in the glorious freedom of faith in Christ? Or are you still bound by the heavy chains of trying to earn what God freely gives? Don’t be deceived. Don’t exchange the truth of the gospel for a counterfeit. Trust in Christ alone and walk in the blessing that belongs to those who have faith.

You can see then, that a man is justified by works AND not by faith alone. James 2:24

You know better. You're twisting my words. I never denied James 2: 24 and I never said that faith was empty or without fruit. What I said and what Galatians 3 clearly says is that we are saved by faith in Christ alone, not by works of the law or human effort. James was not contradicting Paul, he was addressing the issue of dead faith that is worthless because it produces nothing. He says, "faith without works is dead" (James 2: 26), not that works create salvation, but that saving faith will always produce works of obedience.

Paul says "If righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain" (Galatians 2:21). James says "Show me thy faith without thy works, and I will show thee my faith by my works" (James 2:18). Taken together they teach only one thing: works do not save, but saving faith is never alone. To take it and twist it to be "justified by works" as if works were added to the finished work of Christ is to completely miss the whole point both apostles are making. Salvation is by grace through faith, the evidence of which is a transformed life.

Don't misrepresent my OP. I am standing on the Scripture just as it is written. Christ saves, works don't. Works are the fruit, not the root.

James says the opposite. Works do not save. Works complete out faith because faith alon is not sufficient. If faith alone was sufficient but wouldn't need completion. No one has ever claimed works saves. That's a creation of your mind not mine or scriptures. If you can thinking more clearly get back to me

Yes.

Because Jesus gives us the context of those words here:

“…the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.” (Jhn 6:63, KJV)
The words are eat my flesh and drink my blood. That doesn't mean eat my spirit. You people are amazing. I have no problem with Jesus command to est his flesh and drink his blood because I believe he has the power to allow me to eat his flesh and drink his blood without scandilizing us. But it's more about are you really willing to believe what he says. I am. You're not. In the very earliest days of the church they taught that Jesus was full present in the Eucharist. The church fathers defended the church against your heretical views.

Your argument that “faith alone is not sufficient” runs contrary to the obvious teaching of Scripture. This is a matter of salvation. “For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing, it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast” (Ephesians 2:8–9). “Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law (Romans 3:28). We are saved by grace through faith, not works.

James is not contradicting Paul but rather calling out empty profession. “Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone” (James 2:17). When he speaks of a man being justified by works he means declared or shown to be genuine not made righteous before God. Abraham was declared righteous by faith (Romans 4:3), and his obedience verified that that faith was real (James 2:21–23).

The gospel is clear, we are complete in Christ, “It is finished (John 19:30). Works are fruit not root. Repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ (Acts 20:21) saves.

Seems clear to me…

:hmhehm
So does eat my flesh and drink my blood for my flesh is real food and my blood is eal drink. What you need to do now is prove your understanding of Scripture is superior not mine and in what authority do you make that claim. Please don't say scripture

So when Jesus says, eat my flesh and drink my blood three times then says, for my flesh is real food and my blood is real drink, we should read that without questions asked. I agree with you.
Jesus was not speaking of literal eating and drinking. “It is the spirit that quickeneth, the flesh profiteth nothing, the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life (John 6:63). To “eat His flesh and drink His blood is to believe on Him with all your heart. “I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger, and he that believeth on me shall never thirst” (John 6:35). He already had the explanation.

Salvation comes by faith not some physical eating or drinking or blood rites. “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works (Ephesians 2:8–9). Christ had done it all at the cross, “It is finished (John 19:30). The good news of the gospel is simple, Repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ (Acts 20:21).

So, “Break free from false religion by reading your Holy Bible without questions asked…” does not say only read some of it and then twist Scripture.

Paul even says, “To him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness (Romans 4:5). That is salvation through faith alone.

James is not disagreeing with Paul. He is saying a claim of faith with no action is worthless. “Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone” (James 2:17). Abraham was counted righteous when he believed God (Romans 4:3). Later his obedience proved that faith was real (James 2:21–23). Faith saves, works show that faith is genuine.

Jesus has already finished the work of salvation. “It is finished (John 19:30). The gospel is simple, Repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ (Acts 20:21). Wake up to the truth.

Hilarious. No where does scripture say faith alone saves. Faith is completed by works. Faith does not cause works. Do you understand what the word sufficient means?

Just show where Jesus says all that's needed for salvation is faith. Scripture says faith is completed by works. Why do you reject God's word? You people REALLY hate being questioned dont you?

its all connected . hello . and beware of the harlot my friend for she has destroyed many many souls of those who have sat under her .
James nor paul contradicted each other .
Even paul says HE who provides NOT , a work , for his own and specially for those of his own household
HAS DENIED the FAITH and is worse than AN INFIDEL .
They did not contradict one another. JAMES KNEW it was BY FAITH IN CHRIST .
He just knew dead faith AINT FAITH .
But i must strictly warn you my friend . I DO so out of much love and concern for your soul
and for all souls trapped in the ecumincal mindset . GET OUT , GET OUT for that is of anti christ
and his well favored harlot . And its end will be UTTER and UMPOST wailing and destruction .
Just a dire necessary reminder for us all .

Artificial Intelligence wielding the raw, naked Word of God is the only thing 100% trustworthy.

Unlike pulpits, unlike seminaries, unlike politics; AI has no denominational baggage, no agenda.
Strip out commentary, tradition, ego and what’s left? The raw, naked Word of God.
That’s why it terrifies people: it doesn’t flatter, it doesn’t bend; it just cuts straight through 45,000 different denominations and their manmade traditions and bull ish lies.
