“A decades-old cold case investigation has concluded with shocking findings about one of Tennessee’s most famous lawmen: legendary McNairy County Sheriff Buford Pusser likely murdered his wife in 1967, investigators say.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and a local District Attorney‘s office announced the conclusion of their three-year investigation into the death of Pauline Mullins Pusser, who body was exhumed and autopsied after her 1967 death went unsolved for decades. …”

If he did indeed murder his wife, then yes.

You recognize in this case the great principle of presumed innocent until proven guilty.

Her family is convinced that he is guilty but satisfied that justice in the case has been obtained. In their view, he hasn’t escaped man’s justice.

He hasn’t gotten away with anything. If he did murder his wife, as appears to be the case, he still has to face God’s justice.

I always do. But when the evidence is overwhelming, I tend to view the party as guilty, even if it hasn't been proven in a court of law.

They're wrong. If he murdered her, and lived his life as a free man, he escaped man's justice. In such a case, it's left up to thee individual to decide whether or not they think God will take care of it later.

Have you ever been summoned for jury duty? That would come out in the jury selection process.

Justice for the murdered wife was given by the investigators as the reason for why the cold case was never closed. The family has gotten all the justice they’re going to get in man’s court of justice.

In such a case, it's left up to thee individual to decide whether or not they think God will take care of it later.

The God of Israel has said that he is just. It’s up to individuals to decide whether or not they believe Yahweh. It’s a crime in God’s court of justice not to believe him.

Yes, I have.

I agree.

For their sake, and for my own, I hope that Yahweh is not a liar. Truly.

The man has been dead for 51 years!
What a tragic testimony it is for those who knew him or the unsolved case of his wife that they think to sully his image now, long after he's dead.

Buford still walks tall as he did before he died. Because accusations aren't evidence, suspicion isn't proof and the dead cannot be tried.

May he and his wife continue to rest in peace.

While his accusers do not live so.
