I have a few dry scaly spots on my scalp. Another one was smooth but raised, and about nickel size.

I thought perhaps they were basel cell cancer. But wasn't sure about the larger one... thought it might be something else. Was praying it wouldn't be serious.

Dermatologist today said they are age spots! So very thankful to God for that.

Very good news.
Did they take a picture of the spots?

Personally I stand on God's Word concerning the fact the He took my sickness / diseases on His own Body on the Cross so I wouldn't have to have them.

I don't question the truthfulness of God's promises concerning what Jesus did on the cross by going to the doctor asking "am I sick???"

That's a great way to get stuck with some sickness and never be able to escape it.

God watches over His Word to perform it because.... it's HIS Word and He cannot lie.

It's sad that so few know how to stand on God's promises concerning their physical health and instead resort to trusting in plan B which is turning away from God's promises and start trusting in the wisdom of man (medical so called science which at very best is nothing but experimentation)

People hear this and usual come back with "but the Lord gave us doctors" as they have no scripture proving this and cannot point to even one instance in the Gospels where Jesus tells someone "you'll need to go make an appointment with Dr Luke"

Jesus said He only does what He sees the Father do and He only says what the Father says.... and He healed all that came to Him in faith believing who had no plan B because they trusted in the Lord only.... not in the wisdom of men

I avoid doctors and tests of any kind. I trust the Lord. I had something for eight years that most people would have had surgery on....but I trust the Lord to keep me going and so far He has.

However since these crusty areas and one nickel sized area was smooth but raised up....and near the brain, I decided to have it checked. That way if it was something serious, I would have known but would have probably refused major treatment.

Nothing wrong with it, they had skin checks in the OT whether it be for leprosy or scall even.

Lev 13:2 When a man shall have in the skin of his flesh a rising, a scab, or bright spot, and it be in the skin of his flesh like the plague of leprosy; then he shall be brought unto Aaron the priest, or unto one of his sons the priests.

And ofcourse, back then they were brought to Aaron or one of his sons who the priests, whereas Jesus who is our high preist healed the same while he was on earth but also gave his disciples power to heal the same

Matt 10:8 Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.

Sometimes it can be a difficult choice. Like, should I ask someone who says they are a discple of Christ to pray for me (over something that might not even be an illness)? Or should I have this thing checked out first before I ask for prayer concerning it?

On the one hand, if you did not get it checked out (but it was never made known, that this was a big nothing burger) those who prayed for your healing (which in this case, might not have manifested visually) since it was always just a harmless thing from the start) might have either thought their prayers might had not have been effective, or begin to blame you (or your lack of faith) and begin to exalt themselves above you as such who God has kept them healthy (unlike you) and so both ( you and the one who might be spiritually sick) could wrongly assume what might be happening there.

So there is nothing wrong with either being a physician (as was Luke) or even going to a physician, but if ever something was found to be wrong (and you know your own suffering as it relates to the same) and you are nothing bettered by them (as the story goes) but rather growing worse and going broke, its long past time to look to Christ.

It is good to know there was nothing for you to be concerned with from the beginning.

I just got glasses....spent 60 years without them but now they want me to wear them.

They help a little bit but everything is off.

I looked at my breakfast table and it looked like it was tilting towards me. I knew the thing is level....but with those glasses....it's not right.
I'm supposed to wear them for distance vision and my readers for reading. (Two different pairs) but I don't think I'm going to use them at all. Everything is distorted with them. Clearer and magnified a bit....but very distorted. So I'll just stick with my readers.

I would pluck out my eyes and give them to you Gal 4:15 pplh

But I need to change my computer screen resolution to read, so my eyes wouldnt be much help.

Besides, I would be breaking the law if I drove without my glasses, so...

Did you tell your eye doctor or the optician who made the glasses for you? It sounds like someone did something wrong with your prescription. Maybe the optician?

Yes...they did something and they got a bit better at the store. (90 minutes away) but now that I'm home....I dunno what to do.

I'll throw them in the truck and use them there because street name signs are readable a half second sooner. Otherwise they pretty much are worthless for walking around.
No point in wearing them when I can't judge what I'm seeing accurately. It's like I'm drunk or something with all the stumbling from everything being distorted...

I see well enough anyway....the prescription is very mild. One day within the next 20 years I'll get cataract surgery and get them fixed then. My dad just did and he's 87. He has worn glasses since he was 35....maybe 40. (I was a teenager when he got them) Now he only wears reading glasses when he reads....he feels naked without them.

If you can see pretty good without them I can understand you not using them.

But I sure wouldn't go to that optician again. Sounds like someone doesn't know what they are doing. I hope they didn't cost much.

I need cataract surgery in maybe two years if I'm still here. I'm 75.

Some things far away and small are fuzzier than they once were.....but I've had 20/20 or better my whole life.

When my kitchen table looked like it was tilting towards me at a 30° angle like a podium top does....I knew something was wrong. I was finally in my home environment where I could figure out what I was really seeing.

Now if I were to actually wear them consistently for a few weeks....I could probably become accustomed to them...and become dependent upon them. And I dont know if I really want to do that. Because then it would make wearing safety glasses more difficult....and with all the stuff I do? Grinders, Sanders, chemicals, weedeaters, leaf blowers, mowing, power saws of various types (chainsaw, reciprocal saws, table saws) I think I would be in trouble quick.

I'll just leave them in the truck and call it a day. Maybe one day if my eyes really start to get bad I'll wear them more....but it ain't gonna be today.
