Very good question!!!

You will find the answer in Genesis, which is 'Beginnings' in Hebrew
Good Night
Actually you will find the answer in John 8!..the context of the parable evades you David. But hey when at any time in this discussion have you even explained anything?

Before John ch8 = IAM

Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM.

What if you’re actually on the wrong side of truth? Most people recognize it as a parable, cleverly crafted with intention. It’s the extremes within the story that lead to Jesus’ sharp rebuke of the rich man.

For many Christians, this is the only story they lean on to support their view of life after death, yet it looks nothing like the prophetic visions of the Kingdom age described in Scripture.
The story of Lazarus is NOT about the Kingdom Age.
It's about HADES.

EVERYTHING Jesus spoke was with intention.
Jesus had a lot of rebuking to do.

So,,,that has nothing to do with the story of Lazarus.
Furthermore, if you go back and examine the arguments for taking it as a literal reality, you’ll find that not one person has been able to present a clear or coherent explanation.

Why is that?
That is Hidden,,,
Because YOU don't care to believe it's a real story.
Most THEOLOGIANS do.

But, of course, YOU are free to believe what you will.

There is no maybe to it. OP is incapable of correcting his erroneous dogma. It's not even worth it to help him see. His consciousness is seared. His pride and hubris are to powerful to overcome. These types are dime a dozen.

Anyhow, for those interested in a deeper understanding of this topic, much has been learned over the last few decades. Incredible progress has been made. We don't have to guess at this stuff anymore.

The Throne Room in Revelation *IS* Abraham's Bosom. It is Paradise where Jesus went after the Crucifixion...

The Lamb is going to lead them out of Abraham's Bosom and into the Gates of New Jerusalem...

It has yet to be emptied out. The Redeemed still go there upon death.

The Throne/Heart surrounded by Twenty Four Elders/Ribs, etc., etc., etc. So simple to understand, a caveman can figure this stuff out...

The Kingdom of God is within. OP was supposed to seek it first but skipped that part.

Later.
Yes sir.
The Kingdom of God is within.

I agree with most of what you've stated...
Don't know much about the end times stuff...so I'll let that go.
But yes, Abraham's bossom was hades....or paradise.

And many of these forums make up their very own theology.

I'm mostly familiar with JW's and Copeland twisting the Bible just like the Devil.
And others....
I'm not familiar with what you believe and I might be stepping on toes,
but some of the worst are those that believe in OSAS, the ones that don't seem to feel it's important
to obey God, which includes doing good works----I'm even given Isaiah 64....our good works are like filthy rags to God.

I keep saying the bible is a whole thought, a complete idea, and it cannot be broken up into little pieces.

I guess I was so upset at Copeland and JW doctrines I didn't notice lots of other Bible attackers.

There are plenty.
Copeland looks like a human devil - I hate to be mean but I believe that the outside of a person mirrors the inside.
JWs call themselves Christian...as do others that are NOT Christian.
It's my opinion that the worst of the bunch are the reformed/calvinist believers and the reason is that they change
the very nature of God. Pay attention to what they believe - it's truly NOT the gospel (to say the least).

The parables Jesus told during this period of his ministry are remarkable for their emotional intensity. Love, anger, pity, anxiety, rejoicing, and sorrow continually jostle for prominence, spoken, of course, by a Jesus whose emotions were heightened as rejection by his own nation became increasingly inevitable and as the shadow of the cross lengthened across his path.

Derided by the Pharisees for their misunderstanding of his parable about the dishonest steward, he proceeded to tell another parable that addressed them, and their Sadducee colleagues, even more directly, if that were possible!
It also gives us a clear picture concerning the afterlife at that time.(before Christ's resurrection)

Yes sir.
The Straight and Narrow Path.
Matthew 7.....
what an incredibly important chapter for the teachings of Jesus.

And yet we get push-back??
Do some think Jesus was not able to communicate properly?

There is no afterlife - that's the Pharisees doctrine Jesus is using to rebuke them!
What?
The Pharisees believed in an afterlife.

I'm not reading every single post on here, incl yours, so I'm not sure what you believe.

But if you don't believe in an afterlife....
WHY does it say CHRISTIAN under your avatar??

When you speak of the afterlife, you’re really referring to the state of waiting for the resurrection, that is the Lord’s true teaching. Nowhere in Scripture do we find the notion of an immaterial soul drifting off to heaven. That idea is a falsehood, well-documented by historians, showing how the Pharisees eagerly embraced Greek mythology and grafted it onto their beliefs.

If you haven’t grasped this truth from the discussion so far, I’d suggest going back and reading it again more carefully.

I don't grasp the truth from threads.

You believe in soul sleep, or some comparable idea.

If the soul exists,,,,then it must continue to exist.

If it dies,,,where dies it go?
