I think maybe it's that they share a C and an E in their names that is confusing you.
I think it is just that I disagree with you. Why did miracles cease after the destruction of the temple? Tell me that.

Well, it is true that the supernatural gifts ceased noticeably after 70 AD - speaking in foreign tongues, the gift of prophecy, the gift of healing and similar. And prophets in churches were replaced by bishops, elders (presbyters) and by more natural church structure.

But it is not related to the topic of this thread, Mono. You suddenly changed the conversation without telling us why. We were talking about the translation of John 1:1. You were giving us some nonsensical ways of how to translate Greek and unintelligible arguments. And then you started talking about Polycarp, out of the blue.
