If you can see pretty good without them I can understand you not using them.
But I sure wouldn't go to that optician again. Sounds like someone doesn't know what they are doing. I hope they didn't cost much.
I need cataract surgery in maybe two years if I'm still here. I'm 75.
Chances of making it to 90+ if you make past your young 20's is really high these days. If you dont have any serious medical issues...its a given.
There is so much medical advice out there it becomes a type of scare tactic...watch out for this or that....try this medicine for relief....yadda yada yada. My dad is 87....but because he had a career in electronics and didn't expose himself to a lot of chemicals, kept regular physical activity even if it was just a gym (he always hated lawn care or landscaping) and kept a fairly active social life....he looks and acts like someone barely in his 70's. He is heading out on a vacation on Monday....I wish I could go with because of the places he is going. (I got too much going on around here to go.)
The other guys in our men's group are jealous of him....he doesn't take medicine much at all...just an inhaler for Asbestos exposure from when he was in the air force. Other than that, healthy as a horse. They all have had several ongoing issues. Like me...i got several but i keep going anyway. Because stopping is a sure fire way to die quick from it all.
Length of life is not nearly as important as quality.....depth of relationships is more important than width.
Get busy living or quit and die....sorry but i enjoy living way too much. And Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas are coming....some of the funnest stuff is coming.
Maybe if I'm lucky I can sneak off for a day up to the apple orchards around Chattanooga.....so I can make some pies.
