Why are you scared of Jesus's love?

When I was a child, my thoughts of Jesus were that He was so kind and merciful. We had a big Bible with paintings of Jesus in it. I would look at those paintings and see Jesus reaching out to lepers, others needing healing and to the poor.

That Jesus was kind and merciful always remained with me since childhood. I know He scolded self righteous religious leaders....but Jesus was always merciful to the ill and poor.

20 A bruised reed He will not break,
And smoking flax He will not quench,
Till He sends forth justice to victory... Matthew 12:20.

Here is a short devotional by Charles Spurgeon, the old time preacher, on the above verse which Jesus Christ said about Himself.

Do you realize that God's Love shown in Christianity is unique?

I don't think there is another religion that speaks so much about Love

In Islam we are taught to fear Allah, Allah is the Master and we are slaves

Oh now I understand more. Now through your faith in Jesus Christ as your Savior, you are now a child of God.

Even if you fail sometimes, the Lord still loves you and will help you to recover.
