It seems there are repeating patterns or manifestations where universal truths are concerned. But I believe there will be a final antichrist at the end of this age. And bearing in mind that the man of sin must be "revealed".....to me that means God has to reveal him to us, we aren't going to figure it out and nail it with our natural eyes. There is such a thing as deception.....we always need the LORD to keep us from being deceived, or to rescue us out of a deception if we have wandered into one.

This is that which is of anti christ which ye have heard that it should come into the world and even NOW is it .

Ans. The Pope is chosen by the College of Cardinals through a voting process (similar to Matthias). Each cardinal writes the name of their chosen candidate on a ballot, and a two-thirds majority is required for election.
So Yes, the Pope is chosen by men, as was Matthias.

But, as for Paul, he was personally CHOSEN by The Glorified Jesus 3.5 years later, after His Ascension, which was WITHIN the time period of the prophetic 70th week of Dan. 9:27.

I'm sorry, but do you know that a person who is born again of the Holy Spirit is the evidence that a person is CHOSEN by Christ?
You do realize that UNSAVED people can be voted and appointed to hold positions in churches, without Christ's Spirit within them!

As for me and the RCC, you should know by now that I oppose all that is of church-ianity, including their placement of Matthias over Jesus' CHOICE, who was Paul.

You do understand that in addition to the 12 Apostles.... there are other men the Lord anointed to be Apostles?

There are those who are anointed by the Lord to be Apostles today even.

Ever look up what "Apostle" means? You might wan t to start there before accusing the Apostle Peter of refusing to be led by the Holy Spirit.

Not true... Apostle means one sent of God.

There are other Apostles, although the 12 have a special place with the Lord even though you cannot prove from scripture that Paul is the replacement for Judas

You can speculate but you cannot prove it from scripture which is why you have not already posted scripture that specifically tells us that Paul is the Lord's replacement for Judas.

But by all means, don't hesitate to speculate!
