You string together pretty phrases like “come to the living Christ” and “receive His Spirit,” but in the context of our discussion, they carry zero meaning—pure sophistry. You need to come to the living Christ, to be born of Him and receive His Spirit. Until then you won't understand the word of God. He is the oil for the lamp of His word that is a light unto our path. Lamps without oil cannot give light (understanding). Paul counted all that he had, education, knowledge, status, etc, as dung and loss that he might gain Christ.
I could write the exact same about you.
I highly doubt you'll actually read this, but I'd still recommend checking out the book "War, Progress, and the End of History: Three Conversations, Including a Short Story of the Antichrist."
There are a few different English translations out there, so it shouldn't be too hard to find.
In Vladimir Solovyov’s Three Conversations, the main and most powerful exposure of the heresy of “unconditional love for all” is not the Ballad of Delarue itself, but the entire third part — A Short Tale of the Antichrist, which follows immediately after it. It is there that Solovyov shows what such “love” actually leads to — the acceptance of the Antichrist.
Spoiler alert
The Antichrist comes with “love” — and everyone accepts him:
“He spoke of peace, of brotherhood, of love for all people without distinction of faith, of forgiveness of offenses, of non-resistance to evil — and millions listened to him with rapture.”
The Antichrist does not demand repentance, does not speak of sin, does not mention God the Father — he says:
“Love one another — and you will be happy.”
The majority (Catholics, Protestants, liberal Orthodox) accept him because he:
- feeds the hungry,
- heals the sick,
- stops wars,
- speaks of “love for all.”
The minority (Elder John, Pope Peter II, Professor Pauli) reject him.
The climax: The Antichrist demands worship of HIMSELF.
The finale: The Antichrist is defeated — not by love, but by the NAME OF CHRIST.
When Elder John and Pope Peter do not curse the Antichrist but confess Christ — lightning from heaven strikes the Antichrist.
Solovyov’s conclusion:
Love without discernment of spirits is the door to the Antichrist.
True love is love in Christ, with discernment of good and evil.
