Becoming a Grateful and Content Wife

IIts Ozzie's birthday and Im grateful for that.

Im letting go of all the shopping and restaurant hopping and learning that God provides what I need and more in abundance. He and His goodness are endless wells to drink from.

I don't believe in all this "be yourself, vent all your feelings" culture in America today. There's no ultimate purpose and satisfaction in showing your spouse the worst of yourself---even if that is your authentic self.

I believe couples over time can get too comfortable and lose respect for one another.

I believe in smiling through bad situations and presenting your best so that you become what will serve your spouse. My husband does this for me. He can fake strength convincingly. Because it helps me.

I want to smile even more. Its healthy. And it leads to good things.

I can see that I grumble when Im productive because I don't feel rested. And when I rest, I grumble because the house gets slightly messy and I don't feel productive. But contentment would have me not grumble but be thankful in each circumstance.

The first two were about a year and three months apart .

My husband has taught me so many things to make me successful at whatever I put my mind to. He's taught me the value of discipline and consistency. I am grateful for him every day. He's helping me transform into the woman of God I was meant to be through His guidance and leadership.

I think that being content with the Lord is good enough for me, sister @Wynona. I don't have a partner but I am super content in the lord because he has always been with me and he will be there to take me home. You don't feel like you have missed out on anything when you know you have a personal relationship with the author and perfecter of your faith. Glory!

I think the context is contentment, but its okay to be angry and upset. God loves honesty. All the people in the bible had anger at God and people. The Psalms is full of anger at God. I am not saying take out your anger out on God but supplication comes from the heart. Respectfully complain with supplication and read the bible for answers. God wants to know all our troubles.

My husband is so amazing. He'll work 14 hours and wrestle with our kids at home. He doesn't complain. He's like a mentor and coach to me. He washes me with the Word. He is generous to a sacrificial degree. He loves me and the kids and our family. I couldn't ask for someone better.
