If by devil you mean our nature then yes, agree.
This is why Christ died to destroy its power.

Here Paul uses the term ‘devil’ synonymously with sin. As you know, the wages of sin is death, and Christ died to destroy the power of sin.
Maybe you do not understand how God through Christ and through death destroyed "the devil"
