There’s no info anywhere saying the 20-year-old actually hit Portnoy with a coin or caused any physical harm, like an injury or damage to property.
The video shows they were quite a distance apart, so it’s clear the coin toss was more of a gesture to grab attention rather than to hurt anyone.
Is that really something to arrest someone over?
In a similar situation, if it involved a Christian, a Muslim, or anyone else... no one would even think of arresting anyone. Look at what Jews do to Christians in Israel. Are they arrested there for spitting, insults, or pushing?
Personally I dont think this young man should be arrested for being the jerk he was. It was far less than how Christians in Israel get treated (being spit on and all the rest of what they do to them in Israel) but it was not an approriate thing to do. I could hear what is being called an alledged slur but I could not see the alledged coins thrown at him. So I did not see Dave hit with anything.

It does warn of saying your a Jew and are not, or saying your an apostle and are not.
For example, to show the context Paul said to the church here

As a Ukrainian, I can’t agree with you there. I’ve seen plenty of situations where Ukrainians in the EU run into citizens of the Russian Federation, and both sides hurl words at each other way worse than what Patrick said. I wouldn’t call Ukrainians jerks for it—they feel they have a moral right to react that way, given the context. I’m not a follower of Tolstoy’s heresy or a pacifist, expecting everyone to love each other and never show aggression, no matter what.
I don’t know Patrick’s exact motives, but they seem political. Phrases like "F*** Israel" or "F*** Jews" have become a "meme" over the last two years of the Gaza genocide, and I can’t say they’re entirely baseless or lack moral grounding.
That said, we’re not debating what Patrick said—we’re talking about him landing in jail for it. You seem to agree the arrest was completely unjustified, and that brings us to a new level. Patrick has now become a martyr. What matters now isn’t what he said or his moral justifications—the moment he was thrown in jail, your insults lose their power and become meaningless. His imprisonment gives him a sacred martyr status.
You can condemn his words or call him a jerk, but once he’s behind bars, that changes everything. Patrick’s jail time now carries a sacred meaning as a martyr, while Jews, once again, prove they’re not victims but oppressors. It’s a stark contrast: Patrick as a sacred victim, and on the other side, Jews as oppressors who locked up a young guy for behavior that’s normal and routine among Jews in Israel toward Christians.This only highlights their hypocrisy and double standards.

Regardless of what anyone might think of Dave Portnoy, I fail to see how he supposedly provoked that response in Patrick in that moment.
I am from a generation that used to say, "sticks and stones may break my bones but names will never hurt me" and as Christians we ourselves could be accused falsely, and be called names, even insulted, but I would not cast anyone into prison or press charges over someone calling me a name.
Where are we called to do that when someone calls us a name?

Agree with you on the evil of killing of unarmed civilians.
Keep in mind that Hamas targets unarmed civilians both of Jews and anyone who gets in their way.
Oct 7th was a slaughter of unarmed civilians as well as brutal rape upon men women and children.

The same applies here—there was no interpersonal spat between Patrick and Portnoy. This was a political conflict, not two guys randomly arguing. You’re deliberately twisting it to look like a petty squabble, as if Patrick just decided to insult someone for no reason. That’s a misrepresentation.

The Kingdom of GOD is heavenly , is the KINGDOM of GOD and of Christ .
But since times long ago many have done all to establish this kingdom upon earth
And blood , in the name of peace , has always followed .
For any man , woman or child who tries to recreate what is heavenly upon earth
and cometh in the name of man to declare THIS KINGDOM to be earthen under the claim its still heavenly ,

The case of Patrick McClintock is a telling precedent. It’s a warning for all Americans to understand that this will happen to everyone. Anyone who says something that doesn’t sit well with Jews will be thrown in jail and then "canceled," including potential expulsion from university and job prospects ruined, where each will be labeled an "antisemitic piece of shit."
