Did you or did you not ask who is responsible? If you dont tell your neighbor he's going hell for killing someone and he kills someone whose responsible if he goes to hell?
That's a ridiculous hypothetical.
So, have you refused to evangelize your neighbors?
If so, is not their blood on your hands?

Are you sending your neighbors to Hell?

@St. SteVen, have you been sending your neighbors to Hell again? We've talked about that before, and you promised to stop doing that.

Where did I say I refused? You people don't listen so well.
Are we not talking about responsibility? You are responsible for your behavior just like everyone else.
Are there people in hell who never heard about God?
Are there people in hell who have heard about God
Have you evangelized EVERY single person you have met since you became a Christian?

@St. SteVen, here's an idea for your next thread:

Do you REALLY give a damn about people going to Hell?

Poll:

o Oh, Hell no.

o No, because they deserve it

o No, because God predestined them to Hell since before the foundation of the world, and who am I to argue with God?

o No, I don't care. My compassion reservoir is completely used up.

o Frankly speaking, I'm glad they're going to Hell (added by request).

o Yes, but only those people who I know and love, Everybody else can go to Hell.

o Yes, because all human beings are created in the image of God and have value

o Yes, out of basic human decency

o Yes, out of empathy for those who are suffering

o Yes, but not enough to evangelize

o Not sure

o Other

o Abstain

I'm a Universalist. I don't believe in a forever burning hell.
And apparently, neither do you, or you would take action.
That's my point.

Hilarious. God doesn't send people to hell St. SteVen does.

AGAIN point to where I said we shouldn't take action. It's about responsibility. Did you just give up on paying attention?

Why did you ignore my questions?

So you don't believe in a forever burning hell? Do you mean people go there temporarily?

In this case, God is the driver of the car.

Who is responsible?

We’re all responsible for the choices we make—accountability lies with each of us. Every day, God breathes life into the world, and what really matters is the condition of our hearts. It’s like a film playing back, showing what our lives were truly about.

Ever seen those little comics called Chik tracts? They’re simple but thought-provoking. My teacher once shared an idea from them: when a person stands before God and says something like, “You weren’t fair to me!”—the reality is that God has been reaching out all along, extending His grace day after day to everyone.

And in that moment of reflection, it’s as if God lovingly reveals the story of your heart and says, “Let’s take a look, Johnny—here’s the truth of what was really going on inside.”

Perhaps the best evidence that no one really believes in a forever-burning Hell.
Or that no one really loves their neighbors. Take your pick.

If you really loved your neighbors, and believed in a forever-burning Hell, you wouldn't send them there.

I can hear the reply coming now. "I didn't send them to Hell, they sent themselves there."
Did you do anything to stop them? Did you convince them otherwise?
Did you live a life that made Christ attractive? I see...

Fortunately for me, I don't believe in a forever-burning Hell. Not really my problem.
Do you believe in a forever-burning Hell? (nope) If you did...

Or maybe you don't really love your neighbors. Seems to go hand-in-hand.

That IS a view. Actually, it might be two.

People go to hell temporarily to be destroyed permanently = annihilation
or
People go to hell temporarily to be refined by fire = purgation

Who are we to judge though. When people have heard the gospel and reject it?

What does Christ say about it? He says leave them alone.
God's judgment is on them.
This is what Christ's instructions are to do.

  1. Matthew 10:14
And whoever will not receive you nor hear your words, when you depart from that house or city, shake off the dust from your feet.
In Context | Full Chapter | Other Translations
  2. Mark 6:11
And whoever will not receive you nor hear you, when you depart from there, shake off the dust under your feet as a testimony against them. Assuredly, I say to you, it will be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment than for that city!”
In Context | Full Chapter | Other Translations
  3. Luke 9:5
And whoever will not receive you, when you go out of that city, shake off the very dust from your feet as a testimony against them.”
In Context | Full Chapter | Other Translations
  4. Acts 13:51
But they shook off the dust from their feet against them, and came to Iconium.
In Context | Full Chapter | Other Translations

Acts 13
44 On the next Sabbath almost the whole city came together to hear the word of God. 45 But when the Jews saw the multitudes, they were filled with envy; and contradicting and blaspheming, they opposed the things spoken by Paul. 46 Then Paul and Barnabas grew bold and said, “It was necessary that the word of God should be spoken to you first; but since you reject it, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, behold, we turn to the Gentiles. 47 For so the Lord has commanded us:

‘I have set you as a light to the Gentiles,
That you should be for salvation to the ends of the earth.’ ”
48 Now when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad and glorified the word of the Lord. And as many as had been appointed to eternal life believed.

49 And the word of the Lord was being spread throughout all the region. 50 But the Jews stirred up the devout and prominent women and the chief men of the city, raised up persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and expelled them from their region. 51 But they shook off the dust from their feet against them, and came to Iconium. 52 And the disciples were filled with joy and with the Holy Spirit.

Then the scribes and Pharisees who were from Jerusalem came to Jesus, saying, 2 “Why do Your disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? For they do not wash their hands when they eat bread.”

3 He answered and said to them, “Why do you also transgress the commandment of God because of your tradition? 4 For God commanded, saying, ‘Honor your father and your mother’; and, ‘He who curses father or mother, let him be put to death.’ 5 But you say, ‘Whoever says to his father or mother, “Whatever profit you might have received from me is a gift to God”— 6 then he need not honor his father [a]or mother.’ Thus you have made the [b]commandment of God of no effect by your tradition. 7 Hypocrites! Well did Isaiah prophesy about you, saying:

8 ‘These people [c]draw near to Me with their mouth,
And honor Me with their lips,
But their heart is far from Me.
9 And in vain they worship Me,
Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’ ”

10 When He had called the multitude to Himself, He said to them, “Hear and understand: 11 Not what goes into the mouth defiles a man; but what comes out of the mouth, this defiles a man.”

12 Then His disciples came and said to Him, “Do You know that the Pharisees were offended when they heard this saying?”

13 But He answered and said, “Every plant which My heavenly Father has not planted will be uprooted. 14 Let them alone. They are blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind leads the blind, both will fall into a ditch.”
